Ber yllium copper, also known as copper ber yllium, BeCu or ber yllium
bronze, is a metal alloy of copper and 0.5 to 3% ber yllium, and somet imes
with other alloying elements. There are a f ew alloys of Ber yllium Copper but
the most commonly used is “ ALLOY 2 5” which available with us in r eady
stock. Beryllium copper attains the highest strength (to 1,400 MPa (200,000
psi)) of any copper -based alloy.
ALLOY 25
Alloy 25 is also known as “ CuBe2, C17200, BeCu, CDA 172, CB101, ISO
CuBe2, CEN CW101C, A4/2, berylli um bron ze”.
This alloy which contains approximatively 2 % of beryllium and achieves the
highest mechanical strength and hardness af ter heat treatment of all copper
ber yllium alloys. In sof t or slightly re -rolled condition, it exhibits excellent
bending beha viour. It distinguishes itself by high f atigue strength,
outstanding relaxation resist ance at elevated temperat ures and a unique
combination of high strength and excellent electr ical conduct ivit y.
