Sport Coordinator

He was born in Alajuela City to be more specific in San Rafael hospital in 1981.
The most important people for him were his parent due to their love and the excellent
example they taught him on his childhood, youth and currently age.
His favorite subject always was Physical Education because of the freedom this major
or job provided him. Since he was a child like sports, so it was an influential
encouragement to him study this major at the University. He had never any affection
with a specific teacher; however, in high school he had a certain feeling of contempt to
his story teacher. Gerardo commented his teacher was extremely strict, and he was so
young and immature of course. So he did not realize that she wanted the best
intentions for him, and she was trying to instill him in a positive way with her words of
motivation.
Nevertheless, when he was 10 grade some things changed drastically on his way I
looked her. He clearly remember one day when she helped out him with a grade and
he could pass because of that. Next year she was going to be his teacher again, but
this time was so different she had earned his respect, attention because of her
decisions and advices. Another important and influent person to him was his physical
education teacher because of his knowledge and effort that he showed on his work.
He admitted that he was a regular student, and he did not get the best or highest
grades of the classroom, actually, he only got the minimum because on his thought
getting 70, 85 or 100 it means the same for him. He argued those grades not influence
on his knowledge that he learned. He considered himself as a social person, and it
was easy to him got along his classmates. Gerardo attended at U.A.C.A because of he
did not pass UNAs test, and this university allowed him studying Physical Education
the major he was looking for. Also the study period at UACA is shorter than UNAs
period. He would be able to work faster. He carefully made this decision attending to
this college and studying Physical Education because it was his dream to be a
teacher. Gerardo commented his first experiences in a professional field were as
farmer in field of his family and then he was an illegal taxi driver during 2 years.
However, he was able to work part time as a sport teacher at Academia de la
Tecnologia Moderna.
For Gerardo , his family is the most important and it means love since it is something
that complement any human being through sweetness and care. His father always
advice and taught him if he work hard with motivation and encourage he might achieve
whatever goal he wanted. Well about his mother, he said she became so important to
him because she was his guided his life in order to get better every single day and she
motivated him to study hard. As Gerardo
mentioned before, he really admire his parents by all the things they did for him in
order to get better in many situations in life, well being of his family despite of the
difficulties.
He admire many people such as celebrations, players, teacher but the most influence person
is Nelson Mandela because of the participation he had in politics through the sport.
