Brief instructions Schoology is set up like a Facebook profile. It is user friendly and the page organization is

courses, and groups you are involved in.

You can set reminders with activities or assignments you create for students. You will be

Create groups to collaborate with teachers and share ideas and lesson plans

Students and teachers will also create personal profiles

profile, and interact with each other, comment on posts and
so on
It can be used for quizzes- I would use it for practice quizzes so
students can prepare for quizzes, and tests at home.

Being able to see a snapshot of students progress- from the
teacher, student and parent accounts.
There is an option to create small groups within a class, so
you could have 3 or 4 differently levelled groups and assign
different work to each group through Edmodo
Negatives
May not be easy to navigate for younger students without
help- may be more for parent contact then student
interaction at that age
