Cellular remote voting system

ABSTRACT:

This project aims at designing a mobile phone controlled voting

system. This project is capable of receiving few sets of command
instructions in the form of DTMF tones and performs the necessary actions.
DTMF is the acronym for Dual tones multiple frequencies. These tones
are generated by the keys present over the keypad of the mobile phone.
Every individual key generates a unique tone. These tones are considered as
the inputs for the device i.e. this mobile keypad can be used as a remote to
control the number of votes of specific candidate. There will be a dedicated
mobile phone at the receiver module i.e. with the voting system.

WORKING:
The only thing the user has to do is to call the mobile at the voting
system and press the corresponding key to give his/her vote. The tone
generated by the key is received and decoded with the help of a DTMF
decoder. The mobile unit which is dedicated at the voting system is
interfaced with an intellectual device called Microcontroller so that it takes
the responsibility of decoding the tones received and perform the
corresponding predefined tasks which includes the operation of controlling
the seven segment/LCD on which the number of votes of candidates are
displayed.

User will be calling from any phone to the mobile phone attached in the
circuit. The key pressed by the user will be decoded in DTMF Decoder
circuit and correspondingly display will be produced at LED Display Panel.
Then the microcontroller will decode it as vote for particular candidate.
