Find critical load multipliers and connected buckling modes for shell structure using Abaqus software. The
shell edges parallel to xy plane are straight lines, parallel to yz plane are circular arches respectively. On each
quarter generate mesh 1515 quadrangular finite elements. Consider three different support cases.

Case 1
edges: I, II, III, IV
hinge support,
Case 2
edges: I, II
hinge support,
edges: III, IV
full attachment,
Case 3
edges I, II, III, IV
full attachment.

Material data:
E = 39 GPa
= 0,18

Vertical load:
qy = 1,0 kPa
quarter 1

Shell thickness:
g = 0,18 m

Dimensions in xz plane:
l=7m
l1 = 0,3l = 2,1 m
l2 = 0,25l = 1,75 m
b=5m
b1 = 0,25b = 1,25 m
b2 = 0,3b = 1,5 m

Heights:
h1 = 0,12b = 0,6 m
h2 = 0,20l = 1,4 m
h3 = h2 + 0,10b = 1,9 m
