ISSUES:
The Manufacturer also added that the equipment should have been installed with the Control
Boards under the counter in normal inside ambient conditions. The control boards are
currently mounted in the ceilings. They say that damage to the board and intermittent
operation, like what we are experiencing, may occur if the Control Board is mounted out of the
normal ambient conditions above the ceiling in the plenum area.
Any Locations that have the control boards incorrectly installed in ceiling need to move to
under counter. Otherwise intermittent conditions could affect the operation of the unit.
Another issue which has been proven is the installation of GFCI (Ground Fault Interrupters)
on the power input of the Lane 4x7 Commercial equipment blower packs.
We have had to remove these GFCI outlets to regular outlets due them engaging and shutting
down the blower pack. According to the Manufacturer the Blower pack does not require GFCI
outlets and are protected by an in line fuse and surrounded with Galvanized metal for fire
protection.
The specific issue is that the power source is on a GFI protected circuit and power spikes
inherent with motor power up are tripping the circuit. They are also susceptible to humidly
and moisture. The manufacturer has recommended that the units be removed from the GFCI
protected circuit to resolve this issue
