Responsibilities: Design social media strategy and maintain the Writing Centers presence on
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Writers of Ball State for the 2017-2018 semester; Oversee social
media content submitted by tutors; Facilitate workshops at staff meetings; Create a sustainability
manual for future social media coordinators and contributors; Propose and collaborate on new
initiatives with Directors at weekly administration meetings.

Applies the fundamentals of rhetoric to the research process: methods of research; the rhetorical nature of

Responsibilities: Assisted Dr. Laura Romano with her class of twenty-five first-year composition
students; Gained first-hand experience grading papers, developing lesson plans, and conferencing
with students outside class.

Introduction to the craft, terminology, and techniques of multiple genres, including fiction, poetry, and
creative nonfiction.
Responsibilities: Gained extensive, hands-on teaching experience as part of requirements for
English 605: Teaching Creative Writing with Professor Jill Christman); Co-taught two class periods;
Designed a teaching portfolio for teaching creative writing classes, complete with syllabi, calendar,
readings, and daily lesson plans.
