1 General
CYBW

CYBW series marine air pump is the oil-free lubricating sliding-vane air
pump,Which has the features of small size,light weight,energy-saving,and
clean exhausted air with no oil pollution,etc. It can meet the requirement
for marine uses.
1.1 Applications
CYBW

CYBW series marine air pump is designed specially as the auxiliary

equipment for marice sanitary sewage disposal system,it is also
applicable to the industries of printing machinery packing,blow
molding,and light fitting etc.

The pump parts of this pump are integrated with the motor,rotor and the
output shaft of motor are connected directly,this make the motor of
compact,reliable structure,and beautiful configuraion.With radiating fins
fitted on the skirt of pump body of this pump,and cooling fans fitted on
the main shaft of CYBW-25~40 Model,it can provide excellent heat
radiation.At the air vent of the pump,there is a regulating value installed
to adjust the exhaust pressure.And an air filter is installed at the air inlet.
3 Assembling and disassembling
3.1CYBW-6~20
Assembling and disassembling of pump model CYBW-6~20
3.1.1 Disasscmbling
a

Losse the fastening screws on the front sealing cover, and remove the
reont sealing cover.Take out the sliding vane,and tap on the pump body
with wooden hammer to loose the pump body from the positioning taper
pin on the back sealing cover,then remove the pump body.

Remove the central fastening screw of rotor,then insert a bolt to the

central screw hole of the rotor to push ollt the rotor,take off the flat key.

Loose the fastening screws on the back sealing cover(also used as the top

cover of motor).Remove the back sealing cover,then you can clean the
bearing of the motor,and change grease.
3.1.2 Assembling

0.06mm~0.08mm
Reassemble the pump by reversing the procedure for disassembling,make
sure to keep the rotor ratating freely without any jamming.(The clearance
between the two end faces of rotorand the front or back sealing cover
shall be 0.06~0.008mm).
3.1.3 Notc of cautions in disassembling
a

When disassembling,do not knock and damage the pump body and
machined surface. Before assembling,the surface shall be scrubbed clean
with dry colth,and the inner cavity of the pump shall be free of oil stain
and dirt.

When taking off the sliding vane,be careful not to drop and damage it,do
not hurt the edges and corners of the sliding vane.

When installing the sliding vane,the bevel edge of the sliding vene shall
be in accordance with the circular are of the cotor outside diameter.If the
bevel edge of the sliding vane is too small or the sliding vane is too
long,you may sand it with fine emery paper.

Assembling and disassembling of pump model CYBW-25~40
3.2.1 Disassembling
a
Remove the three fastening screws on the fan casing at the front of the
pump,take off the fan casing .

Remove the central lock bolt of fan impeller,use two M8 bolts to push out
the fan impeller and flat key.
c Remove the air inlet cover.

Remove the four fastening bolts on the front sealing cover,and use that
bolt to push out the front sealing cover.Take out the sliding vane,then you
can replace the sliding vane.

Tap the pump body with wooden hammer to loose the pump body from
the positioning pin on the back sealing cover,then remove the pump body.

Insert a MIO long bolt into the central screw hole of rotor shaft to push
out rotor,and then take off the flat key.

Remove the three fastening screws on the back sealing cover,pull out the
back sealing cover,then you can clean the motor bearing,and change
grease.

3.2.2 Asscmbling

Reassemble the pump by reversing the procedure for disassembling,make

sure to keep the rotor rotating freely without ang jamming.
3.2.3 Cautions in disassembling
a

When disassembling,do not knock and damage the pump body and

When disassembly the front sealing cover,please notice there are six
tuning screws on the bearing seat of front sealing cover for adjusting the
clearance between the two rotor end faces and the front,back sealing
cover(the clearance is 0.06~0.08mm),these have already been
pre-adjusted in the factory.

When taking off or replacing the sliding vane,be careful not to drop and
damage it,do not hurt the edges and corners of the sliding vane.When
replacing the sliding vane,the bevel edge of the sliding vane shall be in

4 Installation and start-up

The pump shall be installed in clean,dry and ventilated room with

ambient temperature with 50.It shall be located evenly,and the base of
the pump shall be fixed with blots.
b

When connecting the wiring for the motor,pay attention that the
electricity system of the power supply shall be in accordance with the
motor,and rotating direction of the pump shall be the same as indicated on
the lable.Back rotating or back suction is not allowed.
c

In the initial start-up of the pump,be carefull that the pump shall have no
abnormal noise.Otherwise,the pump must be stopped at once,and shall
not be started again amil the problem is been checked and fixed.
5 Operation and maintcnance

During the operation,the exhausted air pressure can be adjusted with the
regulating valve installed at the air vent(but the pressure shall not exceed
the rated pressure).

The sliding vane of this pump is made of self-lubricating

materials.So it is prohibited to let liquids such as water or oil to enter into
the pump.

The air inlet filter shall always be kept clean,and it shall be removed and
cleaned once every 1~2 month.

In normal operation,the pump shall be dissembled for check and

maintenance every half year.such as cleaning the bearing,and refilling
the composite calcium-base grease.

If the sliding vane is worn down,and affects the working performance or
breaks into pieces,you shall stop the pump immediately and replace the
sliding vane.The disassembling procedure is as per 3.1.1a.and 3.2.1
a,b,c,d.

If the pump has stopped for longer than three months or has just been
overhauled,you shall first run the pump without load for half an hour,then
add rated load to run for half an hour.If it is observed with no abnormal
conditions,then you can operate the pump together with other machines.
6 Storage and handling

During the storage of the pump,measures shall be taken to prevent

rust and dampening,it shall be stored in dry warehouse.When moving the
pump it shall be handled with care,do not drop or hit the pump.
