 Mrs. Annaliza A. Santos is a Certified Public Accountant practicing the profession for 20
years now. She is 41 years old and married to Mr. Prince Geoff Santos. She has 2 children:
Aaron Paul Santos and Neil Xavier Santos and lives at Mabuhay City, Brgy. Mamatid, Cabuyao
City, Laguna. She took up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Philippine School of Business
Administration. Currently, Mrs. Santos is working as a Finance Specialist/Unit Manager at
Western Digital Corporation.

After graduating, Mrs. Santos started working as finance assistant for 5 years in two retail
and service companies. In her third company, she was promoted as finance officer handling
accounts payable and fixed assets for almost 3 years. In 2010, she transferred to a manufacturing
company who produces solar panels to expand her knowledge as senior financial planning
analysts for 3 years. Currently, she is working at Western Digital as Senior Finance Analyst then
promoted to Finance Specialist/Unit Manager.

Mrs. Santos boss in her previous company had influenced her the most for showing true
and outstanding leadership skills.

One of the things that Mrs. Santos considers as one of her greatest achievements in the
accounting profession is being able to achieve a managerial position in the accounting
department specializing in intercompany accounting.

Everyone experience tough times and for Mrs. Santos, her most difficult time in her
career is when she was being required by her previous company to work until 2AM and report
back at 7AM to meet month-end deadlines for one week every month.

She overcame all her tough times through the support of her family and friends and the
appreciation of her previous boss for her good work. According to Mrs. Santos, the key to
success is putting passion in your job.
 Being promoted is not just about salary increase. Achieving a higher position in the
company means more working hours. So, Mrs. Santos keeps her work and family balanced by
ensuring that her weekends are for quality time with her family.
Mrs. Annaliza Santos would like to tell future accountants to choose the specific
accounting field that suits their interest such as auditing, accounting and finance, compliance,
financial planning and budgeting, banking and the likes and always try to keep up with the
evolution of your profession; keep on learning.
