Photograms
Aphotogramis a photographic image made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface
of a light-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light.
Pinhole Photography
APinhole Camerais a simplecamerawithout a lens but with a tiny aperture, apinhole.Light from a scene
passes through the aperture and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box, which is
known as thecameraobscura effect.
Daguerreotype
To make the image, a daguerreotypist would polish a sheet ofsilver-plated copper to a mirror finish, treat
it with fumes that made its surface light sensitive,expose it in acamerafor as long as was judged to be
necessary; make the resultingimageon it visible by fuming it withmercuryvapor; remove its sensitivity to
light by liquid chemical treatment, rinse and dry it, then seal the result behind glass in a protective
enclosure.
