Activity In this activity, the students will use the quizlet app
to create flashcards for the upcoming test on the
Civil War. I the teacher will provide a study guide
that the students may use to help them create the
flash cards. The study guide will cover everything
that the students will need to review for the
upcoming test. With the app, the students may
create questions and answers, vocabulary terms and
true and false. I will use some of the flashcards that
they have created and use as questions on the test.
Students may also share their flashcards with the
class so they are available to use to study with.
I will also go over with the students the study guide
incase students may have questions. Also, I will go
over how to use the app for students that may not
know how to use it. I will also allow students to
bring their own device to use for the application so
they are able to create their flashcards. Those

devices include cell phones, tablets, and laptops. I
will trust that 11th grade students will use their
device responsibly during class time.

through Google Play Store and iTunes. The app is
great to use for students to create their own flash
cards to use to study for the upcoming test.

In this activity, the students will be using Evernote. I
will place students into groups of about 5
(depending on the class size). Students will be able
to take notes in their groups about the Civil War and
important dates that they will need to know for the
upcoming test. They will be taking notes while we
review and go over things that they will need to
know.
I will provide the study guide for the students that
will have all the information about dates,
vocabulary, and any other information that will be
on the test. I will go over how to use the app and
inform that the app is for collaborating for the
upcoming test and not for another class. I will allow
students to bring in their own devices for class to
use the app and take notes. Those devices include
cell phones, tablets, and laptops. I will trust that 11th
grade students will use their device responsibly
during class time.

This app is available for download for free through
the Google Play Store and iTunes. This app is great
for students to stay connected outside of class to
prepare for the test.
