Who was Ferdinand
Magellan?

Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese

explorer and navigator who was the
first person to found out that the world
is round, and the first European who
have circumnavigate or who have
explored around the world. He worked
for Spain. He was the first European
who have crossed the Pacific Ocean as
well.
About
Ferdinand Magellan was born in Circa, Portugal
1480. When he was a boy, he learnt about
mapmaking and navigation. In his 20s he was
joining a trip with a big fleet or ship, and was
involved in a battle. In 1519, he was supported by
Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, he set a fleet to
find a better way to the spice islands. He gathered a
fleet, even though there was setbacks and
Magellans death, so the crews continued
circumnavigated without Magellan in one voyage.
