Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was constant in r emembering and supplicating
Allah Almighty. He would supplicate Him in e very situation and in all cir cumstances and he
used to teach his companions t o do so because remembering Allah m eans linking and
connecting to Him. There are so many supplications inv oked by Prophet Muhammad, but
here, we selected some beautiful ones:

1- O Allah grant me Your love and the love of those whose lo ve will benet me with You. O
Allah, whatever you have provided me of that which I lo ve, then make it strength for me for
that which You love. O Allah, and what you have kept from me of that which I love, then make
it for me a period of r est in that which You love.

(Allahumma rzuqni ubbuka, wa ubba man y anfa`uni ubbuhu `indak. Allahumma ma r azaqtani
mimma uibbu fajalhu quwwatan li ma tuibb. Allahumma wa ma zawaita `anni mimma
uibbu fajalhu faraghan li ma tuibb ). (Tirmidhi)

2 Anas said:

The supplication that the Pr ophet made very frequently is this:

O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Her eafter and save us from the
torment of Hell-Fire. (Muslim)

Allahumma atina duny a hasanatan wa l akhirati hasanatan wa qina adhaba annar.)

3- Narrated Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used t o teach us these wor ds as he used to teach us the
Book (Quran):

O Allah! I seek refuge with You from miserliness, and seek r efuge with You from cowardice,
and seek refuge with You from being brought back to (senile) geriatric old age, and seek
refuge with You from the afiction of the world and fr om the punishment in the Her eafter.
(Bukhari)

Allahumma inni aoodhu bika min-al-bukhl wa a oodhu bika min-al jub n, wa aoodhu bika min
an noradda ila ardhali al omr, wa aoodhu bika min tnati duny a, wa adhabi-l Qabr.
4- O Allah! Indeed I, I ask of Y ou, guidance, piety and chastity and t o be free of depending
upon anyone (except You)(Muslim)

Allahumma inni asalukal l-huda wattuqa wal afafa wal ghina.

5-O Allah! Forgive all my sins, whether f ew or more, the rst and the last, the appar ent and
the hidden. (Muslim)

Allahumma ighrli dhambi kullahu diqqahu wa jillahu wa awwalahu wa akhir ahu wa

alaniyatahu wa sirrahu.

6- O Allah! The One Who turns the hear ts, turn my hear t towards Your obedience. (Muslim)

Ya musarrifa-l quloobi sarrif qalbi ala ta atik.

7- O Allah! Benet me thr ough what You teach me and teach me what is benecial for me
and increase me in knowledge. (Ibn Majah)

Allahumm anfani bima allamtani wa allimni ma yanfani wa zidni ilma.

8- Allahumma inni audhu bika min zawali ni matika, wa tahawwuli ayatika, wa fujaati
niqmatika, wa jamii sakhatika

(O Allah! I seek refuge in You against the declining of Your Favours, passing of safety, the
suddenness of Your punishment and all that which displeases Y ou).

9-Ibn Masud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

One of the supplications of the Messenger of Allah was:

Allahumma inni asaluka mujibati rahmatika, wa azaima maghratika, was-salamata min

kulli ithmin, wal-ghanimata min kulli birrin, wal-fawza bil- jannati, wannajata mina-nar .

(O Allah! I beg You for that which in cites Your Mercy and the means of Your forgiveness,
safety from every sin, the benet from every good deed, success in attaining Jannah and
deliverance from Fire).

10-Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:

The Messenger of Allah used t o say when he was in distr ess:

La ilaha illallahul-A zimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul- Arshil-Azim. La ilaha illallahu

Rabbus-samawati, wa Rabbul-ar di, wa Rabbul-Arshil- Karim.
