The Unsung Heroes: Chocolate Chunks

Cookies, brownies, and muffins have all had famous iterations with chocolate chips
added to their recipes. While chocolate chips are in abundance in grocery stores and the
like, at any store, creating your own chocolate would allow for one to truly bake from
scratch., to truly bake from scratch, Oone should be aware of how to craft their own
chocolate chips for their dessert craftingcrafts. This recipe will be specifically for the no-
mold required chocolate chunks, a slight variation that is significantly easier to make.
Included at the bottom is a short and simple recipe to use these chocolates in cookies for
some from scratch chocolate chip cookies. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chunks
(approx. 1 cups of chunks)

Ingredients

2 oz Raw Cocoa Butter


cup Cocoa Powder
cup Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tbsp Milk

Instructions
1. In a double boiler (any large stove-safe container will do), begin melting the cocoa
butter on a medium heat.
2. Once oil from the butter begins to liquefy, stir in sugar, vanilla, and cocoa powder.
3. Continue stirring until cocoa butter is almost completely melted, turn off heat and
stir until mixture is completely melted.

stop stirring and remove from heat.
5.6. Spread the chocolate out onto a sheet or plate, let it sit in the fridge for at
least 30 minutes, longer for more solid chunks, you can let it sit longer for harder
chunks.
6.7. Remove from fridge and crumble into chunks, chocolate should be soft
enough to break with fingers.

easy chocolate chip cookie recipe so you can test out your new chocolate chips as soon as
possible. They are recommended to be used as soon as possible. Store in fridge, will harden
over time.

Chocolate Chunk Cookies


(~12 Cookies)

Ingredients

1 stick Butter
cup Sugar
1 Large Egg
1 cup Flour
1 cup Chocolate Chunks (from above)

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Beat the butter and flour in a large bowl together until fluffy.
3. Add egg, stir until well-mixed.
