of its particular model. All our foam seat cushions offer
excellent recovery characteristics to help retain their
appearance and comfort over time.
These luxury cushions are made of a premium foam core
with a channelled fibre wrap. They offer the soft and
inviting look of a fibre seat cushion but with a built-in
ability to retain plumpness and comfort over time with the
inclusion of a foam insert. The foam has excellent recovery
characteristics and also helps to plump the fibre around it.

 QUICK GUIDE.
COMFORT HAS NEVER BEEN SIMPLER .
With our range of Elevate Rise & Recline chairs, complete
comfort is never more than the touch of a button away
it couldnt be simpler. You can use the handset to control the
backrest and footrest, along with raising the chair up and down.
When you find your most comfortable position, you can
store it using the memory function and return the chair
to that exact position any time you want just by pressing
the memory button. Its as easy as that to find complete
comfort with Elevate Rise & Recline chairs.
All buttons are recessed to avoid accidental use and the
handset can be easily used by either hand.
R
 eset Returns chair to the seated position,
with the footrest closed and the back upright.
Elevate Elevate is activated, gently raising the
chair and allowing you to stand up more easily.
Recline The back is moved to the reclined position.
Backrest The back is moved to the upright position.
Footrest Footrest is raised to a position of
your choice.
Standby Activates and lights up the handset for
20 seconds. The handset is set to sleep mode if it
hasnt been used for 15 seconds to reactivate it,
simply press and hold for 1 second.
Memory This allows you to store your favourite
position. With your chair in the desired position,
press the Standby button for 5 seconds and the
Memory button will flash green. Then simply press
the Memory button to store the current position.
Once stored, holding down the Memory button
will return the chair to the position stored. To store
a new position, simply repeat this process.

Additional information.
COVER FABRICS.
All soft cover fabrics are graded to denote their
price according to the yarns used.
Fabric lengths are available for your own use.
A minimum order for cut lengths is one metre.
Leather is not available as a cut length.
All G Plan products as supplied comply with
The Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety)
Regulations 1988 as amended.
G Plan patterned fabrics are random cut rather
than pattern matched.
SCATTER CUSHIONS.
Standard scatter cushions are available in any fabric
as an optional extra.
Two standard fabric scatter cushions are included with
every Gemma sofa. Scatter cushions are available on all
other pieces/models at an extra cost.
All standard scatter cushions are available as classic
unpiped or classic piped which are approx 47cm x 47cm
(18.5" x 18.5") when filled. All are duck feather filled
in cotton feather proof cases.
Pip scatter cushions with feature pull detail are approx.
50cm x 50cm when filled. Tess bolster cushions are
approx. 65cm x 35cm when filled. Pip scatter cushions
and Tess bolster cushions are available in any G Plan
fabric or leather at extra cost and are duck feather
filled in cotton feather proof cases.
WOOD.
It is our policy to purchase timber from
responsible sources, where reforestation is assured.
Wood graining and shades may vary from piece
to piece, which is all part of its unique charm.
You can choose from four different wood finishes
for Pip and Gemma models Mahogany, Oak, Ebony
and Walnut.

SEAT SPRINGS.
We use quality serpentine springs for long
term durability.
All springs are expertly spaced for maximum
comfort and support.
Our springs are secured by special lined brackets,
ensuring they dont squeak when you sit down.
SEAT CUSHIONS.
All seat cushion interiors use premium quality
foams for lasting comfort and quality.
Gemma is available with a choice of foam or foam/fibre
wrapped seat interiors to suit your preference.
G Plan SnugSit seat cushions featured on Tess and Pip
models offer a unique blend of foam, memory foam,
a feather quilt and fibre topper.
BACK CUSHIONS.
B ack cushions use high quality fibre, which helps
cushions maintain their shape after use. It also
maximises the durability of the furniture.
Fibre is held in compartments separated by baffles
to prevent thinning of heavily used areas.
Tess back cushions feature a supportive lumbar
foam with a duck feather topper and headroll.
MECHANISMS.
All power action recliners are operated with
buttons located either at the side of the chair/sofa
or seat cushion.
All manual action recliners are operated with a
release handle at the side of the chairor sofa.
Our market-leading recliner actions support you
in a variety of comfortable positions.
All recliner mechanisms, Tess arm mechanisms,
electric motors and rechargeable power packs
come with a 2-year warranty.
CASTORS.
Metal castors are available as a free option on
static furniture, only when ordering your furniture
(all brochure models except Gemma and Pip).
We reserve the right to change specifications,
colours and materials shown in the brochure
or to withdraw products without prior notice.
The colours of fabrics, leathers and timbers featured
in this brochure are as accurate as printing allows.
Our 10-year frame and spring guarantee covers the
timber frame and seat springs on models sold from
January 2008 onwards.

Plump up loose cushions frequently to stop creasing
and flattening. Turn reversible cushions regularly to
enhance their appearance and comfort.
Chaise style recliners and models featuring fixed
seat/arm cushions require plumping and re-dressing
after every use to keep them in excellent condition.
Ensure that the cushion and fabric are straightened
and smoothed out to their original position.
W here possible, reposition upholstery in your room
for more equal seat usage.
Lightly vacuum fabric covered upholstery once a week
to prevent dust from building up. Accumulated dirt
will dull colours and speed up wear.
Removable armcaps are available on selected models.
Do not leave newspapers on your sofa or chairs as
the ink can stain.
With leather furniture you can dust with a soft
brush weekly. All leathers with the exception of
Artisan can be wiped weekly with a damp cloth
and cleaned quarterly by wiping over with a
lukewarm mild solution of pure soaping agent.
We do not recommend or endorse any leather cleaning
products as polishes, detergents, solvents, white spirit
or stain removers may damage the leather. Do not use
baby wipes for cleaning your leather upholstery.
Failure to carry out simple cleaning on a regular
basis can reduce the life of your leather upholstery.
E xtra care is required with Artisan leather furniture.
Light marks can be cleaned with a slightly
dampened cloth and a lukewarm mild solution
of pure soaping agent. It is important not to over
wet the leather as this can cause water staining.
Avoid sitting on upholstery with heavily soiled or
non-colourfast clothing.
Direct sunlight can cause fading, so protect furniture
by drawing curtains and blinds whenever possible.
C are should be taken with sharp-edged toys,
buckles and jewellery.
Take extra care when operating recliners with
concealed buttons and on Artisan leather furniture,
which is easily scratched and marked.

Avoid sitting or standing on the arms of chairs
and sofas to prevent damage to the fillings, padding
and fabric. Please note Tess ratchet arms are not
suitable for sitting or standing on. We know children
love jumping on sofas but they can damage the
cushion covers and seat platforms.
Trim off loose threads with sharp scissors as pulling
them could leave a hole.
Recliner mechanisms should be operated with care
and children should be supervised at all times.
Keep furniture away from direct heat or air
conditioning as this can damage your upholstery.
Keep pets off furniture to avoid scratches or marks.
In the event of accidents or severe soiling, please
