ARTIST TRUMP CARD

YEAR 8 RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

1. Choose an artist from the list that isnt already in the Artist Trump Card pack.
(You can choose your own if you would like but make sure to run it past your
teacher first). You are required to research your artist to create the information
that will be seen on your artist trump card.

2. Collect the following information and put it into a word document:

a). Write a paragraph introducing me to your artist (read the examples on the
already made artist trump cards). Include their name, age, where they are
from, and what type of art they create (e.g. painting? Sculpture?)
b). Collect an image of what the artist looks like.
c). Collect two artworks by the artist you have chosen. Include the title of the
artwork, materials used to create the artwork, the date it was created and the
dimensions.

d). Using the images of your chosen artist and the two artworks
create a portrait of the artist. The portrait of your artist must be
completed in the same style they use to create art. Some examples
have been provided above.
This must be created on an A4 piece of paper and handed in with
your research information attached.
e). The last thing you need to do is fill out the information on the
artist trump card for your artist. Remember it is your own opinion
and it will be used for a point of discussion.
