Creating a Pokemon

To stat up a Pokemon you need to do the following:

1. Choose your Pokemon (refer to the Endangered Pokemon list and rules if you want
a rare Pokemon).
2. Decide whether you want your Pokemon to be Shiny or Mythic (talk to your GM).
3. Record your Pokemon's species, types, status (companion, owned, shiny,
legendary or mythic) and gender in the appropriate boxes.
4. Record your Pokemon's height and weight (these are important for certain HM
moves). Refer to Bulbapedia to find the species' average height and weight. You
can modify this by up to 15% (Mythic Pokemon can alter these by up to 50%).
5. Choose your Pokemon's Type Bonuses and note these down on your Pokemon's
character sheet.
6. Put 1 point into every attribute.
7. Spend your attribute points. You have 8 / 6 / 5 to spend. No attribute may go above
5 at this point.
8. Spend your ability points. You have 9 / 6. No abillity may go above 3 at this point.
9. Choose up to 1 merit and 1 flaw. Make sure that the ones you choose are
appropriate to the Pokemon's type – a fire type cannot choose "water veil" or
"damp", for example. Note down any freebie points that you gain or lose from these
merits and flaws.
10. Record the damage modifiers for attacks against your Pokemon.
11. Select a species trait and record it in the "additional notes" section. Make sure that
the trait is appropriate to the Pokemon's type – a Lucario cannot choose "levitate",
for example.
12. The Pokemon then recieves 15 freebie points to spend as you choose. Remember
to add or subtract the freebie points from step 9. Attributes may not go above 5, but
the cap on abilities is removed.
13. Add anything your Pokemon recives for being shiny, mythic or legendary once you
have spent your freebie points.
14. If your Pokemon has evolved, apply any evolution bonuses. Remember to check if
this changes any of your Type Bonuses. If it does, change your Type Bonuses
BEFORE you spend the freebie points you get for evolving.
15. If your Pokemon has not fully evolved note down how many days it has been since
it evolved. If it has been over a month just not down 1+ months.
