I also welcome all VMC members, other guests, parents, students and
prize winners to this august occasion of 22nd Annual Day celebration of
the Vidyalaya.

May I now readout the Annual Report of the Vidyalaya
Our Vidyalaya KV NMU Jalgaon is one of the KVs, founded under the
sector Institute of Higher Learning with North Maharashtra University
as its sponsor. Our Vidyalaya is situated in a pristine and peaceful
location in the lush green campus of NMU, away from the din and bustle
of the city.
Prof. P.P. Patil honorable Vice Chancellor, NMU, and the Chairman,
Vidyalaya Management Committee has always taken keen interest in
providing all the necessary guidance, support and facilities to the
Vidyalaya.
Academics
Vidyalaya continues to perform well in the academic sphere securing
100% result in AISSE 2017 (class 10th ) as well as in AISSCE (class
12th.)
Mast. Jaswant Vijay Singh Patil of class 12th topped in this Vidyalaya in
12th CBSE Board examinations with 84.4%.
We expect a still better performance this year with planned efforts from
the part of students teachers and the administration

Students’ Achievements
1) Science Exhibition:
Two students participated in 44th Jawaharlal Nehru Science,
Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for children 2016-17 at
Regional Level. In this exhibition Antara Puranik from class XI
secured first position and was selected for KVS National Science
Exhibition. She secured Second Position and was selected as the
sole representative of KVS at in 44th Jawaharlal Nehru National
Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition conducted by
NCERT at Bhopal from 10th November to 16th November 2017.
Kum. Antara Puranik and her guide Shri. Vineet Wadhera got
Certificate of participation and appreciation from NCERT.
2) Maths Olympiad:

Jay Patil secured IIIrd Position and won bronze Medal and he was
selected and participated in SGFI representing KVS in Yoga
(under 17 group) at Durg, Chattisgarh………….. (date)
4) Fine Arts:
Our school is enthusiastic not only in studies and sports but also in
Art activities. To sharpen the artistic sense of the children in the
field of Art & Craft various activities are taken up.
5) CCA
We organize various co-curricular activities and competitions in
different fields regularly to develop the talent of our students. To
develop different capabilities in them, we give opportunities to the
students to organise and anchor various programmes on different
occasions. Every student mandatorily comes to stage and performs
items atleast twice in a year.
All major festivals and important days are celebrated in the
Vidyalaya to make students aware of the different cultures and to
instill the feeling of national integration in their minds.
Many competitions, such as News reading, Group Dance, Group
Song, Poster Making, Skits, Debate and Quiz Competition was
conducted on the occasion of Constitution Day and KVS
Foundation Day. We make the students able to grab their interest
and help them to make the most out of every opportunity. With this

kind of overall exposure to all the fields, the students are
enlightened and so they become focused to their aim in life.

In primary section, Cubs and Bulbuls are very active and this year
45 Cubs and 33 Bulbuls are registered in this movement. Every
Wednesday the Cub masters are giving special attention to develop
the performance of the Troop.

After joining this Vidyalaya the new Principal has undertaken so
many works to change the scenario of the school. The cleanliness and
beautification of the Vidyalaya was taken up first. Swachh Vidyalaya
Abhiyan was restarted and performed cleaning all the nook and
corners of the Vidyalaya together withactive participation of students
and teachers. The Pagoda in the Vidyalaya is beautifully painted and
decorated with the help of student artists of the Vidyalaya under
guidance of Miss. Shailja Meena, Arts Education teacher. Further its
planned to beautify the inner wall of classes I and II in similar lines
13) Development of Vegetable Garden :
“Back to Nature” is a project initiated for the students of Primary
Section to develop small vegetable gardens in the Vidyalaya. Through
this activity the students try to know the different stages of growth of
plants. They learn to value the labour of farmers and how the
vegetables we eat are actually produced. The project is monitored by
the seniormost Primary Teacher Sh. Prakash SHirshat along with
other PRTs.
14) Celebration of Important days and weeks:
As per KVS instructions we celebrate various important days and
weeks in the Vidyalaya to make the children aware of importance of
these special days. Such as Vigilance awareness week, Sanskrit week,
Hindi Padkhwada, Constitution day, KVS Foundation Day etc.
15) Creation of Blog, WhatsApp group, Youtube channel and
Facebook page:
Many technological steps and modern modes of communication are
used to establish effective communication channels to interact with
stake holders. Using these technological platform ongoing activities
in the Vidyalaya are made global. The activities in the Vidyalaya are
uploaded on Facebook page (facebook.com/kvjalgaon/), Blog
(kvnmujalgaon.wordpress.com) and Twitter

(https://twitter.com/kvjalgaon). Soon a YouTube Channel of KV
NMU Jalgaon is also planned to upload the videos of various
activities at school.
16) CMP for Primary Section:
In primary section KVS has launched Common Minimum Program
(CMP). In this programme many innovative ideas are implemented to
make the teaching learning process interesting. Regular meetings are
held and the activities are planned for the week ahead. Regular
workshops are also conducted. Fun Day: Every working Saturday,
Primary children will have fun in the school instead of bookish
studies. On this day various activities are conducted like games, film
shows, CCA competitions etc.
17) Communicative Skills Training:
To develop effective communicative skills, teachers are being trained
regularly after school hours. The teachers will use these skills and
knowledge to enrich the communication skills of the children. English
Vocabulary Development initiative is taken up and is made an
integral part of the morning assembly.
18) Student Council:
To maintain as a channel of communication between the student
community and administration Students Council is formed. Regular
meetings are conducted and the student representatives, class
monitors, the teachers and the Principal discuss the various issues and
find ways to the problems faced by the children in the Vidyalaya. The
student council is assisting the teachers and the authority of the
Vidyalaya to organize different functions and competitions and to
maintain discipline.
19) Club Activities:
Various clubs such as Fine arts and Photography club, Maths club,
Science Club, Integrity Club are formed to nurture the talents among

the children and every day from special items are prepared and
presented by members of different clubs in the Morning Assembly. A
total of ten clubs are planned for the next session and every student
will be a member of any one of the clubs.
20) Guru Wani:
Teacher’s Talk is also made a regular feature of the assembly and a
teacher delivers a short speech on moral values or important
developments or technological advancements or usage of language.
21) Study Camp:
As per the instructions from KVS RO Mumbai study camps are to be
held during 10 days winter break to help the children in various
subjects to score better in upcoming Board Exams for class X and
XII. All students of class X and XII will participate in the camp.
22) Future Plans in the Vidyalaya:
We have planned so many activities to perform in coming days such
as Maths Clinic and Maths Garden. With the permission of hon’ble
Chairman VMC we expect that we will be able to implement these
soon.
We also plan to have a Musical Orchestra for the Vidyalaya as well a
band troupe and efforts are on to get an NCC unit too.
23) Constitution of PTA
PTA executive committee is yet to be constituted. As a prelude to this
it is decided that CPR (Class Parents Representatives) will be selected
from each class to discuss the problems and suggestions. The
members of the PTA Executive Committee are being finalized and
soon the same will be constituted as per the approval from hon’ble
Chairman. After that PTA General Body can be called once or twice
in a year.
24) Needs of the Vidyalaya:

Though a small Vidyalaya, every KV is expected to maintain the
standards at par with any other. Many requirements are already kept
for the kind consideration of the Chairman and he has shown a
positive approach towards the suggestions.
Some of the requirements we expect to get fulfilled soon are
1. Additional Drinking Water Facilities
2. Leveling and Tiling of the Assembly ground.
3. CCTV installations and
4. High Speed internet connection via leased line
