Symptom

Information on which role to assign to the Firefighter ID to be visible in NWBC or the

GRC Box.

Firefighter ID not available in NWBC.

Reproducing the Issue

Users not visible as Firefighter IDs in NWBC while assigning Firefighters to Firefighter
IDs.

Cause

Information on where can we find the role for Firefighter ID and what access is needed
for this role.

Resolution

This is not a SAP delivered role. Customer has to create this role in their own
namespace or as a Z role, both in GRC Plug-in system and the GRC Box. You can
define any suitable role name.

You need to assign this role to the Firefighter ID in the Plug-in system for it to be
distinguished as a Firefighter ID.

Run a fresh Role Sync after you have created this role in the Plug-in system and
then once the SYNC is complete, this role would be available in GRC Box. Now
maintain this role in the IMG Configuration via transaction SPRO at the following path:
SPRO =>Governance, Risk and Compliance =>Access Control =>Maintain
Configuration Settings.
The parameter is available under Param Group: Superuser Management, Param ID:
4010.
Once you are done with the above steps, re-run an Incremental/Full User Sync for the
Firefighter IDs with the Firefighter Role to be SYNCed into the GRC box.

Now re-launch the application via NWBC or Portal and then search for the Firefighter ID
and this should be available in Firefighter ID list.

Note: It is recommended you assign the S_RFC with ACTVT value 16 and other field
values as needed, to the Firefighter ID role that you have created above. This is needed
for the Firefighter to generate a new session as Firefighter to the configured Plugin
system.
