Worker Rights
0 The right to a safe workplace
1 The right to safety training, information, and
instruction
2 The right to refuse unsafe working conditions
3 The right to have no punishment for refusing
work because of health/safety concerns
4 Well-maintained safety equipment that works
and is available to them
Employer Rights
11 Expect workers to:
0 Pay attention and attend safety training and
instruction
1 Remember and perform all safety instruction
2 Report any hazardous conditions
3 Wear and use provided safety
equipment/clothing/devices at all times
4 Let them know any physical or mental
condition that could affect their work
Worker Responsibilities
5 Learn and follow any safety procedures and
rules
6 Be aware of hazards for safety and report them
7 Use any protective devices/equipment/clothing
provided
8 Do your work safely, don’t cause hazards
9 Refuse to do any work that will probably lead
to harm coming to anyone
10 Always report any hazardous situation or
incident to an employer or supervisor
Employer Responsibilities
12 Provide workers with information, training,
instruction and supervision to protect themselves
13 Providing supervisors with the training and
information to carry out their safety responsibilities
14 Establish policies/procedures for hazardous
situations and a plan to protect the workers
15 Provide and take care of safety
equipment/clothing/devices and make sure the workers
use them
16 Ensure the health and safety of all employees
17 Establish individuals to take care of safety and
give them instruction
