CHAPTER 2

Review of Literature and Research design

Review of Literature

Review of literature is a report of information that is related to area that which of the specific
topic we selected for the study. This provides the base for the research and specifies, clarifies
and summarizes the topic / nature of research. It is not just a collection of information it gives
the path for the study. What is written in the literature should be read and analyzed, but
relationship between the literature and field of study must be identified.

A literature review can be Books, scholarly papers or articles. It gives the current knowledge,
findings to the specified/particular topic. In other words we can say that publishers are
comparing, classifying and summarizing the previous research. And it is not just a synthesize
the content, understand the article what they expected to tell and then express your review
according to your knowledge, what they want to communicate.

Purpose of doing this is;

 To make sure that some research made on the topic

 The research must be original/not repeated
