Past Continuous Tense

Past Continuous Tense reveal past actions ongoing. actions can sometimes also interrupted by
something. english tenses form is also called Past Progressive Tense
Usage:
1. Ongoing action
2. sidelines of the ongoing activities
[Past Continuous] + + When [Past Simple]
3. ongoing activities at the same time in the past
4. Question conditional / polite
For example: I was wondering if you could carry my bag.
Formula
Positive (+)
Subject + to be (was / were) + object + verb-ing
Negative (-)
Subject + was / were + not + verb-ing + object
Mark (?)
- Was / were + subject + object + verb-ing?
Example - Past Continuous tense:
He was sleeping when I came (+)
- He was sleeping when I came
He was not sleeping when I came (-)
- He was not asleep when I came
He was sleeping when I came?

I was working all night yesterday (+)
- I'm working all night yesterday
I was not working all night yesterday (-)

Present Perfect Tense


Present Perfect tense forms in English tenses are used for a simple act of ongoing or new
sajar stopped, but it has influence to the present day. Placing an emphasis on results.
Usage:
1. actions that occurred at an uncertain time before the current
2. actions in the past and have an influence on the present
3. action that began in the past and continues in the present
Formula:

Subject + has / have + been + object

Subject + has / have + not + been + object
Subject + has / have + not + verb + object III

Have / has + Subject + verb + object III
Have / has + been + subject + object
Example:
I have been at home for a month (+)

To form the present perfect sentences (simple) tense we need to know about:
1. verb (verb) "have" (auxiliary verb / verb auxiiliary)
- Singular,
I have
You have
He / she / it has
- The plural,
We have
You have
They have
2. past participle (been / verb III)
Example:
Talk = talked (regular)
Go = gone (irregular)

Simple Future tense


Among all forms of Future tenses, Future Simple is the most common, used in many
situations such as when making promises, predictions or plans. Future Tense is also called the
Present Future Tense
Simple Future Tense is divided into two forms, namely "Will / shall" and "going to" but have
different uses.
"Going to" is used to express an action plan that had been made before berbicara.Juga jauh2

"Going to" is also known in the word "gonna" are often used in informal situations.

Present Perfect Continuous
Present Perfect Continuous reveal actions that have been initiated in the past and still
continues. English tenses are also used to tell the story that began in the past and have just
finished.

Example:

Caption time (adverb of time) is used,
"For" and "since" is a very common description used in the Present Perfect Continuous tense
