I.

INTRODUCTION
This Quasi-Thesis indicates that you are ready to meet the demands of a higher level of professional
study. This will test whether you have fully understood the lessons and you have fully grasped the basics of
organization and management, particularly the five functions of management. Each group is given the freedom
to choose what organization, system of management or company needs the aid of effective and efficient
organization and management.

II. Proposal
The proposal itself should include information on the following categories:
1. Statement of Problem.
2. Relevance to Organization and Management.
3. Availability of Material for the research.
4. Collecting and Analyzing Information.

III. TIMETABLE FOR THE QUASI-THESIS DEFENSE


OCTOBER 16 - Submission of the Proposals

October 17 - Checking and Confirmation of Proposals

October 18-23 - Preparation for the Defense

October 24 - Submission of USB’s containing the presentations.

October 25 - Day of Defense (ABM-B Alexandrite 10:00-12:30NN)

1st Presenter: Planning Group (10:00-10:30AM)

2nd Presenter: Organizing Group (10:30-11:00AM)

3rd Presenter: Staffing Group (11:00-11:30AM)

4th Presenter: Directing/Leading Group (11:30-12:00NN)

5th Presenter: Controlling Group (12:00-12:30NN)

October 26 - Day of Defense (ABM-A Jadeite 3:00-5:30PM)

1st Presenter: Planning Group (10:00-10:30AM)

2nd Presenter: Organizing Group (10:30-11:00AM)

3rd Presenter: Staffing Group (11:00-11:30AM)

4th Presenter: Directing/Leading Group (11:30-12:00NN)

5th Presenter: Controlling Group (12:00-12:30NN)


IV. CRITERIA

V. RULES

1. The students are given one (1) week to prepare for the Quasi-Thesis Defense. There will be no extensions given.
2. The presentation for each group shall be good for 30 minutes only. Make sure every student will have his/her time
to present briefly and sufficiently.
3. The result of the Defense will serve as part of your Grade for the Final Exam. This is a group activity but the grading
system will be as follows:

40% - Taken from the Group’s Total presentation during the Defense
60% - Taken from the Individual performance of the student during the Defense

TIP: I suggest that the group leader shall see to it and shall appoint his/her members with a topic which best fits the
knowledge, skills and class standing of the student member to avoid failures and unnecessary acts which would indicate
unpreparedness of the group and unorganized communication and relay of data between the members.

4. Make sure that you are prepared for the Defense. No questions shall be accommodated during the presentation.
5. At all times, make the presentation spontaneous and free from any unnecessary delays and intervals.
6. During the presentation, the student must only use the ENGLISH LANGUAGE and should avoid any unnecessary
words such as “kanang”, “char lang” “basta”, “basta mao nato” and all others. (AMENDED)

REMEMBER: This is already your final output therefore you must take the activity and challenge seriously and
professionally.

7. Make sure to wear an appropriate attire for the presentation. It is advisable to wear corporate attires. No wearing
of uniforms, printed dress for the females or printed long-sleeved polos for both males and females. You should
look dignified and professional during the presentation.
8. Avoid making any unnecessary movements or any unnecessary sounds and utterances during the report.
9. Late presenters will not be given any special accommodations. I suggest that the group members should be on or
before the scheduled time.
10. Put your presentation in power point form. Avoid using too bright or colorful themes for your slides. Do not use
too much words on your slides. You could glance on your presentations but avoid reading it.
