Hello again Rucks,

Good to chat a minute ago with you this morning and thanks for taking a look at this
item I just reported on my blog: http://www.the-sidebar.com/2017/12/the-woman-
accused-by-rep-sheila-jackson.html

I'd appreciate your answers to a few quick related questions.

1) Re: Daniella Silva and Jay Blackman's December 26, 2017 NBC story
http://tinyurl.com/ya2zmtwm was the quote from Rep. Lee accurate? That is, that Rep.
Lee felt she was targeted by a passenger accusing her of taking her first-class seat on a
United Airlines flight “because I was an African American woman”? If the quote's not
accurate, would you please clarify?

2) If the quote was accurate, what was Rep. Lee's basis for the allegation?

3) If the quote was accurate, does Rep. Lee wish to comment and/or retract the
allegation?

Thanks for your time/consideration and I look forward to receiving your answers. If you
can get back to me by day's end, that would be great. If you need more time, I'll do my
best to accommodate.

Cheers, Peter

United Airlines. Therefore, you should direct your questions to either of them.

Rucks,

Thanks for the fast reply, but I'm still trying to sort this out and would appreciate your
help in that regard.

Via Rep. Lee's Facebook statement:

I noted that (Jean Marie-Simon) came toward me and took a picture. I heard
later that she might have said “I know who she is.” Since this was not any fault of
mine, the way the individual continued to act appeared to be, upon reflection,
because I was an African American woman, seemingly an easy target along with
the African American flight attendant who was very, very nice.

1) On what basis did Rep. Lee conclude that Ms. Simon's actions had anything to do with
Rep. Lee being "an African American woman" or the flight attendant being African
American?

2) If Rep. Lee can't provide a reason, it's an unfounded allegation that may be harmful to
Ms. Simon's reputation. If that's the case, doesn't Rep. Lee owe Ms. Simon an apology?

I appreciate your continued time/attention and I look forward to your reply so I can
move forward with my story.

Sincerely,

Peter

Good morning Rucks,

What's the status of my December 27 inquiry, please, (copied below my signature) in

which I asked:

1) On what basis did Rep. Lee conclude that Ms. Simon's actions had anything to
do with Rep. Lee being "an African American woman" or the flight attendant
being African American?

2) If Rep. Lee can't provide a reason, it's an unfounded allegation that may be
harmful to Ms. Simon's reputation. If that's the case, doesn't Rep. Lee owe Ms.
Simon an apology?

FYI, since our previous correspondence, Jack Crowe at the Daily Caller
http://tinyurl.com/yddmaazh and Brad Richardson at the Washington Times
http://tinyurl.com/y85shtsk reported the story I broke on my blog about Jean-Marie
Simon's human rights work in Guatemala: http://www.the-sidebar.com/2017/12/the-
woman-accused-by-rep-sheila-jackson.html

Via Mr. Crowe's report:

The disgruntled United Airlines passenger accused of racism by Texas

Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee...is a longtime registered Democrat...

So am I. Along those lines, I'm disappointed to learn that, according to this Daily Mail
article by reporter Nikki Schwab from a couple of days ago, Congresswoman Lee has a
history of discourteous behavior http://tinyurl.com/yccpah3o

Thanks for your continued attention and if you can get back to me before the weekend,
that would be great.

Sincerely,

Peter

Rucks,

Thanks for your prompt response and all due respect, but my questions have nothing to
do with the seat assignment issue.

In any event, if I may change hats, would you please pass along to Rep. Lee that this
longtime Democrat thinks she owes Ms. Simon an apology and let me know the
Congresswoman's response?

Cordially, Peter
