THE MIDTERM EXAM- SPANISH 1

EXAM AT A GLANCE:

This exam includes 3 portions:
• Criterion A & B: Interpretive (reading, listening)
• Criterion C & D: Presentational (writing)
• Criterion C & D: Interpersonal (speaking)

The exam is cumulative (on EVERYTHING we’ve learned), but focuses on our
current school unit. It will be worth 20% of your semester 1 grade.

Scenario:

You are thinking about studying abroad at a school in Mexico. You first decide to find out
more about life at the school by video chatting with a Mexican student (speaking w/ a
partner). Next, you do some research on a few different schools. You find a student-made
video about the school and check out some other information from the school’s website
(listening & reading). Finally, you write a letter of introduction about yourself and your
academic background in the official application (writing).

THURSDAY-FRIDAY, 1/18-1/19 MONDAY 1/22 & EXAM DAY (THURS/FRI)

WHAT TO BRING:
-A pencil
-Something to do if you finish early (NOT a phone or electronic device)

Spanish 1 Midterm Study Checklist

Look over the checklist below and check off what you are positive you know. The concepts not
checked off are the ones you should review. Use the resources given to study and ask for help if
you need it. DO NOT try and cram everything in the night before the exam, it will not work. Try
studying a little bit every night for 10 minutes or so- pick an unchecked box and study it!
