PRESENTATION AND JUSTIFICATIVE

In the entire world the main victims of the social inequality, of violence and of the
many evils that destroy the human being are the children. In this context when they reach
the adolescence and youth, in their majority, are designated to a marginalized life where
the diversion of conduct as alcoholism, consume of drugs, criminality, etc., are doors that
be open as opportunities for survive among to the chaos and abandon.
The reality of the childhood in the world described in the report “2007 Childhood
Worldwide Situation” by UNICEF shows that the physic and sexual violence reaches 223
millions of people under 18-years-old, two third are girls being 1, 8 millions forced to
prostitution. There are 132, 7 millions of orphans, 15, 2 millions related with AIDS (SIDA),
and 2 millions under 15-years-old that are positive serum. And 15 millions of children
never went to the school.
In the Brazil in special beyond of the more varieties forms of violence against
children and teenagers we find an aggravating that is the alcoholism question and use of
drugs among the young people.
An inedited research of the Anti-drugs National Secretary shows that 16% of the
teenagers among 14 and 17 years-old already experimented alcohol drinks in excess –
that means five doses or more during day. This research, the more completed about the
alcohol consume in our country (Brazil), revels that 21% of the male population in this age
average drunk of abusive form in the anterior year. Between girls the proportion was
smaller but not less concerned: 11%.
A research made for Information about Psychotropic Drugs of Brazilian Centre
(Cebrid) with 15,503 students of the Primary and Secondary levels in ten capitals shows
that the alcohol is the preferred drug among young people with discrete superiority of the
male sex.
And the starting is premature. About 50% of the students among 10 and 12-years-
old already drunk alcohol drinks.
Other concerned fact is that 28.6% drunk for the first time in home and 21.8% of the
cases parents offered the drink.
The friends also influences. The Cebrid research revels that 23.81% of the students
drunk for the first time because of the friends team pressure and 28.9% already used
alcohol until get drunk.
According doctors and psychologists the alcoholism between young people are
becoming uncontrollable. According with Cebrid 11% of students fought after to drink and
19.5% missed to the school.

 In the other people of Portuguese language as Mozambique and Angola where after
many years of civil war and many other fatalities the context of misery, violence and
absence of conditions for a healthy and a life of quality have take off the life of millions of
children and teenagers and with the growth of infirmities as AIDS (SIDA), Malaria, Cholera,
etc., the life perspective for the youth is frightening.
Such threatening become more present specially in the middle of those children and
teenagers that don’t have access to activities that occupy the mind of healthy and
constructive form that give to them an secure atmosphere bring them out of laziness in the
period pre and pos-scholar. It can become serious when don’t exist an accompanishment
of the parents or responsible that for various factors don’t are present in the life of those
young people.
Those are lives that need to be loved, worked, formatted, giving the chance of
know an different way, that guide them to integration, to inclusion, to right of dream, to
build, to the right of live with dignity.
So, analysing the context of live of children and teenagers as in worldwide level as
in local level (Portuguese Speakers people) we present a project that could to cooperate in
the strengthening of the formation of the youth take them out of risk situation and given to
them access to activities that contribute for the wide formation that work the character, the
life, the abilities, etc. Take them out of a destructive environment and bring them to the life
and life with dignity.

DEFINITION AND OBJECTIVES

Project developed by PRONASCE

The NASCE Project (PRONASCE) is a not governmental organization,

philanthropic, international, Evangelical, interdenominational, that has as objective to
cooperate with the Portuguese speakers people, giving training and formation in five
areas: Nutrition, Agriculture, Health, Biblical Growth and Education. Having as strategy
and main goal to train, to equip and to form, believing that a people and a community
having good formation and access to the social conditions that allow them to develop and
look for a social, economic, moral and spiritual crescent well-being will produce a
sustainable and progressive development in the region where they exist.

With the vision and mission to announce and to live the Gospel of our Lord Jesus
Christ, believing that God is interested in the integral restoration of the human being given
them health and dignity. The PRONASCE inside his objective, in the universe of
constructive and edifying actions in behalf of the integral formation of the human being,
comes to join forces with the Portuguese Speakers people offering an reinforcement in the
fight that belongs to all, as the authorities as the society, to viability actions that rescue the
quality of life to the children and teenagers and consequently to all the community.

PILOT PROJECT

We started the pilot project execution in the town of Pontalina in Goiás - Brazil,
where the PRONASCE has his International Headquarter.

In this region it was established through rapport and conversation with school staff
and headteachers, parents, the Council and the general population, especially the youth.
Threats such as alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, relationships problems, and the lack of
activities that attend the needs of youth, are problems faced by many, needing urgently of

activities provided to meet the needs of young people, are dilemmas faced by many. There
is an urgent need for wholesome activities and projects for the children, teenagers and
young people, and also for enabling tools that can help with professional formation,
generating a better quality of life and taking them out of high-risk situations.

With these very real challenges, this socio-educational project, ICF was started,
seeking co-operation from the general public to join forces in order to encourage formation
which, would in turn, produce transformation.

The ICF is a pilot project, where the activities and studies carried out, are worked in
order to serve as models to be taken out to the people where the PRONASCE will develop
these activities.

INTEGRAL CENTRE FOR FORMATION

We understand that the Education in an integral perspective become a rescue,

formation and transformation factor to those children and teenagers and as consequence
these benefits are spread to their families and to the society of a general form.

Integral education because we don’t give them only tools to learn how to read and
to write, but we try to promote access to a better life, through the knowledge, the work of
character, the spirituality, the formation that assure a posture irreprehensible in all areas of
the life.

Of this manner, we developed a social and educational project named Integral

Centre for Formation (ICF), that intend only to make practical through an integral
education to make to born hope that result in healthy life and sustainable development to
those children and teenagers and the community where they are inserted.

Working in the perspective to form, to train and to equip as general objective of

PRONASCE the Integral Centre for Formation (ICF) is a project that to make practical a
place where are generated many activities directed primarily to the youth (children from 9-
years-old till teenagers 18-years-old) functioning as a centre of support for youth. Intending
to pass on an integral formation, working all aspects related with the life and the character
of the participants, helping to the access to the reinforcement in the education, generating
a development and the spiritual, moral and social well being.

MISSION AND VISION

To rescue and to care of the youth specially those are in risk situation, giving them
an secure place that give educative and social activities that promote the integral (spiritual,
physic, social, moral, etc) well-being and so they have the opportunity to receive a
formation that create transformation, quality of life. Forming lives that transform the world!

It is a project not-profit where there isn’t preference of people, looking just to

express the love, grace and mercy that the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us.

TARGET PUBLIC

The youth (children and teenagers until 18-years-old), primarily in the Portuguese
Speakers people.

Meanwhile, in the presence of the amplitude of the problematical risk situation that
involves he youth of a general form, some activities will be extended to over 18-years-old
as well as to their relatives. The ICF intends to tend and to support the youth, working the
context where that youth lives.

The ICF is Evangelical, exerting meanwhile the religious liberty don’t having any
discrimination about the religion, sex, race, social class, etc.

ACTIVITIES

The ICF activities are many, having in the meantime just one objective in the
development of each one - the whole formation of the human being, working in the
perspective to promote a whole community growing as well.

Could variety according with the local where it is planted, in the ICF are developed
the follow activities:
 Computer Classes – with a program of Education and Inclusion Digital.
 Foreign Language Lessons (English, Spanish, etc.)
 Reinforcement School (to learn how to study and to like study)
 Library to research and incite to reading and to study
 Sports Activities (soccer school, athletics, etc.)
 Cultural activities
 Leisure activities
 Music, Theatre, Dance, Arts Lessons
 Professional courses for youth above14-years-old
 Religious activities in the Evangelical perspective (respecting the local law)
 Integral accompanying pastoral. The students inscribed in the programs of ICF
will receive pastoral accompanying where a specialized team will be visiting
regularly the students as well as their families to follow close the reality of each
one.
 Support groups to youth and to families that are facing problems as drugs and
alcoholism, violence, etc. Through a program of whole recuperation, these youth
are sending to participate weekly of a meeting to share and to learn to overcame
the problems and trauma resulting from use of drugs, alcohol, violence, etc.
 Integral Communitarian Development; through research, actions and programs
that generate better conditions of life, where the sustainable development, social
inclusion, together with an practical of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, generate a
quality of life that make difference.
 Lectures, seminars, meetings, camps; for the students, families, and interested in
general of the community, where are talking themes related to the problems and
solutions of the day by day of the population, as well leisure activities, etc.

That initiative has a goal to keep a link that promote as participants inscribed in
the ICF activities as their relatives once that they are integrated in a process of
formation, the search of a crescent quality of life, having access to manners of help

 those that are in difficulties. In this accompanying, reports will be done, searching to
have a wide vision of the reality as well of the results in the community.

HOW THE ICF WORKS?

The ICF works as a Support Centre for the youth. Will work in three turns (morning,
afternoon, night) or according with the needs and characteristics of the place where it
is planted, where their inscribed could participate in the follow categories:

• Semi-integral period: children and teenagers comes to ICF before or after the
scholar period, they will remain a period in the place participating of many activities;
• Specific course students: those that come for some course given by ICF, remaining
in the place only during the lessons of that courses where they are registered;

• Educational Centre: according with the need and disposability of the resources,
respecting the local law, correctly registered and constitute, could the ICF to be an
Integral School where the regular courses of the children and teenagers education
will be offered with other complementary activities. This Educational Centre
according with disposable structure could works as children’s home or semi-
children’s home school.

The ICF is a place always open to the youth, working as referential of help, support and
formation.

RESOURCES AND SUSTENTABILITY

The Project NASCE is a philanthropic organization, not-profit. So, the Integral Centre of
Formation is maintained by:
 Campaigns to raise up donations in the churches, enterprises, organizations and in
the community as general;
 Resources directed from PRONASCE (transfer from specific resources rise up to
this project)
 Donations from volunteer supporters inscribed for a specific time as physic as
juridical person, nationals and internationals.
 Partnership and covenant with organizations, government, etc
 Sponsorship that want to invest in our programs;
 Monthly fee of the courses (accessible value, almost symbolic)
 Manufacturing and trade of products and benefit comes from the professional
courses.

RESOURCES APPLICATION

All resource generates in and to ICF (monthly fee, trade of products, donations,
covenant, partnership, etc.) is totally used in the maintenance of its activities.

CONTINUANCE

 The ICF as a social and educational project has duration for indeterminate time. His
actions are continuous and develop according with of the needs and peculiarities of each
region. The results are valued continuously searching always excellence in the quality in
the developed actions.

The intention is that the teenagers are participating in the ICF until reach 18-years-
old and so to be directed to adult life having a formation those open doors for them to a life
with dignity and quality.
