Dentistry

Summary:

Dentists prevent and treat problems affecting the mouth and teeth. They also treat

injuries and correct dental issues. They attempt to make a very good looking and

comfortable smile. The schooling does inquire lots of your time but pays off in the end.

An average dentist makes around 150,000$. This is a very respectable pay that will

suffice my needs and wants in the future. There will always be a very high demand in the

medical field resulting in having high chances for a job. Skills that are useful to this job

are having steady hands, being able to work independently, and able to solve problems.

The experience for this job includes being able to put in some hard work especially when

you are attending school. Time is a very precious thing and if you don’t know how to

manage it into becoming a dentist you will most likely fail. Steady hands sound silly but

is very beneficial especially when you have to do surgeries on patient’s mouths. Problem

solving skills will make your day at work very easy. Communication skills can really

take a toll if you are not up to par.

Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests is very important and is one of the very first steps

when a patient comes in. Ensuring the safety of administration of anesthetics so that the

patient has a comfortable operation.

Abilities include normal or corrected visual eye vision just ensuring that you will

be able to see what you are doing.

Need full function of both arms, both wrists, both hands, and fingers. This is necessary

because you wouldn’t want someone working on you with their toes.

Be able to interact with others in clear and precise way to get across what you want to.

Dentistry is an amazing path to pursue for multiple reasons,

First of all, you can incorporate art into your work with making teeth. You get to interact

with people and keep your social skills high. The average pay you receive is very good.

It does require quite a bit of school but is worth it in the end. You get to make people

happy by making them confident in what they look like. Nothing is better than making

someone confident with their look. Dentistry is very essential and without it we would all

look like we were from England. I am thankful for Dentists and I want to return my

gratitude by becoming one.
