DIE HARD 4

Live free or Die hard (released as Die Hard 4.0 outside North America) is a 2007
American film, and the fourth installment in the Die Hard Film series. The film was directed by
Len Wiseman and stars Bruce Willis as John McClane. The films name was adopted from New
Hampshire’s state motto, “Live Free or Die”. Its running time was 129 minutes.
Based on the 1979 novel Nothing Lasts Forever by Roderick Thorp. The series follows
the adventures of John McClane a New York City and Los Angeles police detective who
continually finds himself in the middle of violent crisis and intrigues where he is the only hope
against disaster. As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day, Veteran cop John
MacClane carries out another routine assignment: brining in a computer hacker (Justin Long) for
questioning. Meanwhile, a tech-savvy villain named Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant)
launches an attack on America’s computer infrastructure. As chaos descends around him,
McClane must use old-fashion methods to fight the high-tech threat. It was an action film written
by Steven E. de Souza and Jeb Stuart.
John MacClane is a never-die hardcore detective. That time, he taken on a team of high-
tech terrorist team (hackers) who wanted to shut down the whole U.S. The terrorists under
Thomas command take-over the all cyber system in U.S.A. by internet connection. The traffic,
banks, electricity, satellite and all of public facilities were held by terrorists. Moreover, they
shown the untruth video about destruction of white-house through television which made the
townsfolk were afraid. Actually, the terrorists wated to take the money from banks, but to mix
FBI they hijacked the USA cyber system, and so made the citizens in trouble.
Meanwhile, John MacClane who was ordered to catch Farrel Matthew known that Farrel
just lied by Mai who admitted as FBI agent to hack cyber system. Thus, Farrel explained bout
the terror plans and how to stop that terror action, than John McClane arranged some plans to
strike back the terrorists. By his capability as a senior detective he strived against the terrorists
by helpful effort of Farrel Matthew the very genius hacker. On his buffering process, a problem
came to his daughter Lucy who’d been abducted by the terrorists. Thomas wanted John to stop
his against action, and to kill Farrel to get his daughter back. But John rejected Thomas’s
negotiation. John McClane preferred to free his daughter by his self, and so through the good
coordination with FBI’s team, he can break down the whole terrorists. Thomas, Mai, and some
henchmen were killed. The other live henchmen were endured.
In the last scene, Lucy who has hated John McClane, finally receives back her father
happily, and US backs to the peace. I think it’s very interesting movie. And “Die Hard” is very
suitable movie title to describe John McClane.
There were really a certain person ought to have their will and wants to do things that
make the entire state break-down. This certain people do jobs through a high technology in order
to do evil deeds not imagining the result of it as they want it to be to be a miserable nation.
One of these situations is come from the movie die Hard 4. The story plays by means of
a high technology computer based. They are using computers for communication, such for
networks, radios and exploding viruses to end lives. With that movie there are opportunities,
weaknesses and strength embodies.
 From the aphorism that says “opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come
when life seems most challenging” has a correlation from the Movie Die Hard 4. Opportunities
that embodied in the movie is that when John McClane has the allies who is a hacker Matt Farrel
realizes to be biased with John after all Gabriel the veil mastermind threaten him to kill.
Moreover, that is an opportunity for John since Matt knows the code to abort the shutdown
sequence and to evade the evil plan of Gabriel. It seems most challenging because of the enraged
of John to the criminal mastermind especially that Lucy is in the hand of Gabriel.
An attack on the vulnerable United States infrastructures begins to shut down the entire
nation and when Farrel enter the code despite of Lucy’s please to resist, Farrel gives the code just
for Lucy not to shoot by a gun of Gabriel’s hand. These are the weaknesses shows in the movie.
But John the father of Lucy advances for just nothing to do but to make things more to do for the
resolution of the huge problem.
It is true that loving your nation is like killing someone’s lives. The word is “Live free of
Die Hard”
