PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
1. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN EXAMINATION CENTRE WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
2. The candidate must bring this E-Admit Card at the Examination Centre. No candidate will be allowed entry without this E-Admit Card. The candidate is
also required to bring one of the Photo Identification Card in original viz. Voter Identity Card, Driving License, PAN Card /Passport Adhaar Card along
with this Admit Card. The identity of the candidate will be matched from the original proof. In case your e –admit card is without photograph, you are
advised to bring two recent passport size photographs in the examination center.
3. The candidate is requested to reach / report examination center as per reporting time given above i.e. 1 Hour 30 Minutes before the commencement of
test.
4. The main gate will be closed before half an hour from the commencement of the test. No late coming is allowed.
5. Possession and Use of electronic devices such as Mobile Phone, Microphone or any other Associated Accessories, Calculator, Log Tables/Pager, Digital
Diary, Book / Notes etc. are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these devices/documents
his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled. As such, the Candidate should not bring Mobile Phone/Microphone and any of its accessories etc. in the
Examination Centre. PSPCL will not be responsible for its safe custody / loss.
6. Any candidate who is found copying /receiving/giving assistance or using unfair means during the exam, will be disqualified and PSPCL will not be
responsible for his/her candidature.
7. Please retain this E –Admit Card carefully for future records and the same to be produced at the time/stage of checking of documents.
8. There will be 100 multiple choice objective questions with one correct answer. 100 questions shall be from Static, Current Affairs of General
knowledge, Basic Computer Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude & General English.
9. For every correct answers 1 mark will be awarded. There shall be negative marking for each wrong answer and ¼ mark shall be deducted for each
wrong answer. No mark will be awarded for un-attempt question.
10. The Candidates appearing in the online test should, in their own interest, check their eligibility in all respects so as to avoid disappointment at later
stage. Your candidature in whole recruitment process is "PURELY PROVISIONAL” subject to pending detailed scrutiny of your fulfilling the eligibility
conditions as mentioned in the advertisement for the post you have applied for. In case, it is found at any stage that the candidate does not fulfill the
eligibility criteria, candidature of such candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even after joining if any information
provided by the candidate is found false or is not in conformity with the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement including Educational
Qualification / Age/ Category/Experience etc.
11. The details printed on this e-admit card must be checked by the candidate. In case your admit card mentions some other discipline/post is without
photograph, then the candidate is advised to personally report, one day before the conduct of examination the 'Facilitation Counter 'from 10.00 AM to
02.00 PM with 2 passport photographs along with documentary evidence/proof that necessary corrections are made and attested. The address of the
'Facilitation Counter' will be made available under "Recruitment" Column of PSPCL,s website http://www.pspcl.in/ . No request for change in name,
category, date of birth, etc. shall be entertained since the candidates were advised to check their details in the online application before submission.
12. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before the completion of the online test.
13. The candidates are not allowed for any reimbursement of travel expenses on the day of examination.
14. Any query / concern of the candidates related to any question(s) may be submitted to the office of Dy. Secy./Recruitment, PSPCL Head Office, The Mall,
Patiala - 147001 within 7 days of Public Notice which will be displayed on PSPCL’s website after conduct of the examination. Thereafter, no
representation in this regard will be entertained.
15. A link will be provided on the PSPCL’s website for online mock test. The mock test facility is only for practice purpose and this will give look and feel of
the computer based examination in simulation environment. It is clarified that demo/mock online tests are purely for practice purpose only.
16. Online Exam Instructions are mentioned below.
 ONLINE EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Total duration of examination is 120 minutes.

2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the
remaining time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the
examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit your examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of
the following symbols:

Note: Answers which are marked and saved (green color only) will be considered for evaluation.
The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at that question again. If a
question is answered and Marked for Review, your answer for that question will not be considered in the
evaluation.

Navigating to a Question :
4. To answer a question, do the following:

a. Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that question directly.
b. Click on Save &Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
c. Click on Mark for Review & Next to mark it for review for the current question, and then go to the next
question.
d. Caution: Note that your answer for the current question will not be saved, if you navigate to
another question directly (without saving the answer) by clicking on its question number.

5. You can view all the questions by clicking on the Question Paper button. Note that the options for multiple
choice type questions will not be shown.

Answering a Question :

6. Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question:

a. To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options.

b. To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear
Response button.
c. To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option
d. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button.
e. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If any answer is selected
for a question that is Marked for Review, that answer will not be considered in the evaluation.
