Two Wes’, Two Stories

Compare and Contrast
The Other Wes Moore and “Road Not Taken” are very similar in a lot of ways.
They each tell a story about life and how choices you make can shape out the rest of your
life depending on whether you made the right choice or not. Both stories are very
important to listen to because it tells you what is going to happen in your life if you make
the wrong choice and what happens if you make the right choices. The Other Wes Moore
and “Road Not Taken” tell stories about the struggle in life and how you can overcome it
by making simple choices with your life.

The Other Wes Moore is a story about two kids that make choices that affect
both of their lives but in different ways. The Other Wes Moore tells two stories about
Author Wes and Other Wes and how they live out their lives by the choices they make. In
this book there are two paths, the harder path that requires you to work at something to
accomplish it. Then there is the path that is the easy way out and does not require any
work to get you somewhere. Author Wes chose the harder path and ended up having a
great life because he stayed out of trouble and stayed in school. Other Wes decided to get
involved with drugs at eight years old and he did try to take the harder path, but it was
too much for him to handle. Other Wes ended up going right back to the drug game and
then he committed crime along with shooting someone that put him in jail for the rest of

his life. In other words, choices can make a huge difference as you can see.
“The Road Not Taken” relates a lot to The Other Wes Moore because it tells a
story on which path is the right one to take. The “Road Not Taken” is a story about two
paths and how the author is trying to decide what path he is trying to take. In the story
the author looks down both paths with thought and sees one that is very worn down and
another that is not very worn down at all. The path that is worn out is like that because it
is the more popular and easier one to take. On the other hand, the path that is not worn
out is like that because it is the one where it makes everything harder and the right path to
take but no one wants to take it because then it will not make them popular. The “Road
Not Taken” can be looked at in many ways because of how hard it is for people to make
the right choice sometimes. This is a good story because it tells how people end up with
the choices they make and what their reason was to make those choices.
In the Other Wes Moore and the “Road Not Taken” there some similarities and
a little bit of differences. Both stories tell what life is going to be like if you make the
wrong choices and how heavily those choices can affect you. A similarity is that there are
two paths to take in both stories and there is the path that is the easy way out. Then there
is the hard path that can lead you to a great life that you deserve. Other Wes and the other
people are alike because they took the road that was easier and not hard. Author Wes and
the narrator from The Road Not Taken are alike because they took the road that was
harder, and they ended getting pleasure out of it. A difference is that in The Road Not
Taken it is a story, but it did not really happen. In the Other Wes Moore, it is a real-life
tragedy and did play out to when the Wes’ took their paths it made a difference in their
lives. These stories just explain how easy it is to mess up your life.
In conclusion these stories tell you how it easy it is to mess up your life by the
choices you make. You can either take the easy path that is going to get you nowhere in
life, or you can also take the path that can lead you to a great life with a lot of respect and
great things. You make the choices you make can have a big impact in the future. The
Other Wes Moore and the “Road Not Taken” tell what happens in your life and how the
choices you make can affect you for the rest of your life in a good way or a bad way.

The Other Wes Moore is a book about two people with
the same name but different lives and stories. The
Other Wes Moore tells you stories about what happens
in life when you make the wrong choices or right
choices. The Author of the Other Wes Moore is Wes
Moore. He was born in 1978 and was three years old
when his dad was taken away from him because of a
terrible disease. The author was a Rhodes Scholar
winner and got his education at John Hopkins
University, he grew up without a father which is very
tough to handle at such a young age. He did not have a
father for most of his life which makes it hard on him.
The Other Wes Moore is a book about two Wes’,
Author Wes and Other Wes. In the book the author tells
two stories about what will happen in your life
depending on what choices you make. Other Wes made
bad choices and he ended up having a life that he did
not like. Author Wes made the right choices that led
him to having a great life that he enjoyed a lot. This
book is a very good book and if you read it you should
really take time to read it because it is a great read.
This book tells stories that you can learn from and can
help you with future experiences in life.
This book was an amazing read, so I would
recommend it to anyone that is looking to read a book.
The book started out slow, so it reeled you in and then
it started to get good as you kept on reading. This book
was very well written, it was written in a way that
grabbed the readers attention immediately from the
beginning until the end. ` This book was a very
interesting read, and this is coming from someone that
you do not enjoy books at all. I do not enjoy many
books but every occasionally, there is an interesting
read, and this was one of the best books I have ever
read in a while!
 Rhodes Scholarship Fun
The Rhodes Scholarships are awarded to thirty-two U.S. students each
year for two years of study in a degree program at the University of Oxford. This
scholarship was named after Cecil John Rhodes. Rhodes was born on July 5, 1853
in the small hamlet of Bishops Stortford, England. Rhodes lived in England for a
while, but his dad believed moving him to South Africa would give him a more
promising future, on September 1, 1870 he arrived in Durban. After a brief stay he
decided to join his brother in cotton farming, when Rhodes got back his brother
was already gone to work in the diamond fields. This forced Rhodes to keep the Cecil John
farm running by himself and live from it.
The Rhodes Scholarship came from Cecil John Rhodes as I stated in the Rhodes
first paragraph. This scholarship gave 32 students the chance to continue their
education at the University of Oxford. They were guaranteed two years, but they
had an option for the third year. Their education is at Oxford which is a very old
and beautiful school. There are 38 Oxford colleges, so anyone could win the
Rhodes scholarship. The first time Rhodes Scholars entered Oxford was back in The English businessman and
1903, and since the Rhodes scholarship has been available, 3,648 have been
picked for the scholarship. The Rhodes scholarship was a postgraduate also founded the modern
opportunity and was said to be the most prestigious by some. Some notable diamond industry and controlled
recipients of the Rhodes scholarship are Cory Booker, Myron Rolle, Susan Rice,

Other notable scholarship programs are the Gates Millennium Scholars Company, which acquired
Program, the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program, and the United Negro Rhodesia and Zambia as British
College Fund. The Gates Millennium program helps an average of 1,000 college
students attend college each year, they have nearly raised 13,000 dollars per territories. He was also a noted
student between 2000 and 2014. There are also post-secondary awards that come philanthropist (working for
with the help from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. The Foot Locker charity) and founded the
scholar athletes program offers twenty $20,000 scholarships to student athletes
who are high school seniors planning to continue their sports career at a four-year Rhodes scholarships.
