CAREER EXPLORATION
Career exploration gives students the ability to assess their interest in a certain
occupation. This process gives students exposure to the working world. Through this
process, students that can decisively choose their career tend to exhibit
improvements in their academic performance, attitudes, and increased knowledge on
the options that re available to them. Students that are able to identify their career
can be guided to a secondary school that is better suited for their aspirations.

identify careers that reflect my interests and how to express passion behind why a career is chosen.
During the next three weeks, students will do a rotation that reflect these three areas.

Teacher will give basic definitions related to career exploration and career planning. Teacher will
assist students in this group setting to give further explanation and scenarios of the relevant content.
After this explanation students will be given a quiz to assess their knowledge of the area.

After the three weeks, students will present their findings in a project utilizing guided questions, in

Students will have the opportunity to work on their Career Project for one week, after the rotation.
Closure
Teacher will reiterate the importance of having a career plan in mind.
TEACHER’S REFLECTION
Project was given as a take home assignment but in my experience because my subject is only offered once a
week, students often forget. Therefore, the following week students will work in class on their projects.
