As the same illustrations are reused for different variants, some details may differ for the
variant you are working on. The essential information in the illustrations is, however,
always correct.

Lay the control housing with the selector forks facing
upwards.

Carefully drill off the brasspin rivet heads on the splitter,
1/R and 2/3rd selector forks. Break them carefully
out of the selector fork

Note: Cover the control housing with paper, to protect the

control housing from shavings when drilling.

Fit new brasspins to the 1/R and 2/3rd selector forks (the
smaller pins). Rivet them carefully using the riveting bale.
Fit the brasspins to the splitter selector fork (the larger
pins) and rivet them carefully.

Note: After riveting, the brasspins should be able to

be turned a little.
Riveting is only to ensure that the pins do not fall out
of the selector forks when the control housing is fitted
to the gearbox.

Press out the tubular pins for the support bosses on the
1/R and 2/3rd selector forks use the riveting bale.

Fit new supporting bosses, press in the tubular pin
using polygrip pliers.

Note: The gearbox must be calibrated after the control

housing has been fitted in the gearbox.
Perform 40105–4 Gearbox, calibration using the PC tool.
