Experiment Number 1: Feasibility Report for ONLINE BLOOD

DONATION
FEASIBILITY REPORT ON ONLINE BLOOD DONATION
 Executive Summary

Sangre helping hand is an organisation to donate a blood. People from various regions
are connected with this organisation. Many Hospitals are depending on it to help their
patients. It has a few branches disproportioned to the number of volunteers associated
with it.Though blood donation camps are conducted on regular basis volunteers feel
that in order to reduce the blood wastage due to expiry and in order to serve the needy
to the most possible extent there is a need for online website

 Description of Products and Services

The Blood Donation is to create an e-information about the donor and organisation that
are related to donating the blood. Through this application any person who is interested
in donating the blood can register himself/herself in the same way if any organisation
wants to register itself with this site that can also register. Moreover if any general
consumer wants to make request blood online he can also take help of this site.

 Economical, Technical and Operational Feasibility

 The technical issue usually raised during the feasibility stage of the investigation
includes the following:

 Does the necessary technology exist to do what is suggested?

 Do the proposed equipment’s have the technical capacity to hold the data required to use
the new system?
 Will the proposed system provide adequate response to inquiries, regardless of the number
or location of users?
 Can the system be upgraded if developed?
 Are there technical guarantees of accuracy, reliability, ease of access and data security
Proposed projects are beneficial only if they can be turned out into information system.
That will meet the organization’s operating requirements. Operational feasibility aspects of the
project are to be taken as an important part of the project implementation. Some of the
important issues raised are to test the operational feasibility of a project includes the following:
-
 Is there sufficient support for the management from the users?
 Will the system be used and work properly if it is being developed and implemented?
 Will there be any resistance from the user that will undermine the possible application
benefits?

This system is targeted to be in accordance with the above-mentioned issues.

Beforehand, the management issues and user requirements have been taken into
consideration. So there is no question of resistance from the users that can undermine the
possible application benefits.
The well-planned design would ensure the optimal utilization of the computer resources and
would help in the improvement of performance status.
A system can be developed technically and that will be used if installed must still be a good
investment for the organization. In the economical feasibility, the development cost in creating
the system is evaluated against the ultimate benefit derived from the new systems. Financial
benefits must equal or exceed the costs .The system is economically feasible. It does not
require any addition hardware or software. Since the interface for this system is developed
using the existing resources and technologies available at NIC, There is nominal expenditure
and economical feasibility for certain.
5. Organization and Staffing
Since the services provided by the SANKALP INDIA organisation are going to be made online,
the people donating for the organization should be increased so that effective services can be
provided for the better improvement of the society. There may be a need for additional staffing
or for an organization to restructure in order to accommodate the change. These are important
considerations as they may result in increased man power or require an organization to change
its practices and processes.
The SANGRE HELPING HAND organization donating blood campaign is not anticipated to
significantly affect the organizational structure of the organization as a whole. There are,
however, several staffing additions required to successfully implement the online services
campaign.
Staffing Position #1: Online Service Provider – this full time position will lead in taking
complaints from the public and provide the campaigning in that particular area and volunteers
in identifying service opportunities and using these opportunities to make India a better nation
to live in.
Staffing Position #2: Online feedback receiver– this full-time position will take feedback from
the public who have registered problems in the organization so that it can make necessary
changes and provide the services in a better way by managing staff in identifying target
groups/areas and conducting online advertising/awareness efforts to maximize traffic to
maximize the number of people using the services provided by the organisation. This person
will report to THE SANGRE HELPING HAND’s managing people so that the can improve their
services.
6. Schedule

THE SANGRE HELPING HAND online blood donation is expected to take six months from project
approval to launch of the e-commerce platform. Many of the foundations for this platform, such as high-
speed internet and web server capability, are already available. The following is a high level schedule of
some significant milestones for this initiative

Jan 1, 2018: Initiate Project

February 1, 2018: Project kick off meeting

March 1, 2018: Complete online sales site design

April 1, 2018: Complete testing of online sales site

June 1, 2018: Complete beta testing trials of online sales site

July 2, 2018: Go live with site launch

Upon approval of this project a detailed schedule will be created by the assigned project team to include
all tasks and deliverables.

7. Findings and Recommendations

Based on the information presented in this feasibility study, it is recommended that The Sangre helping
hand can go ahead with online campaigns. The findings of this feasibility study show that this initiative
will be highly beneficial to the organization and has a high probability of success. Key findings are as
follows:

Technology:

For creating this project we need HTML5,CSS & databases .This is a community backed frameworks for
implementing the online blood donation. These frameworks are extensively used in other web
applications and are proven to be reliable. Once in place this technology is simple to operate and
maintain for a relatively low cost

Organizational:

Minimal increases to staffing are required with no changes to organizational structure. No new facilities
or capital investments are required.
