Exam format Sem 2 2017

1. 7 Questions in 20 pages. Answer all questions in the Question Paper.

2. The exam format is as follows:

a. Q1-Q3 Spreadsheet practical and spreadsheet design theory 46 marks
b. Q4-Q7 AIS theory 54 marks

3. The exam covers ALL the topics. Yes it is true it covers ALL topics 1-12 –
somehow I managed to squeeze all 12 topics into 1 exam. Expect all your excel
practical to be in the exam. Please go through ALL the excel models covered
during lecture and tutorials.

4. Just because you did badly in the coursework doesn't mean you will do badly
in the final marks. I have known many many students who fail their coursework
but still obtain D for their final grade. Likewise, just because you get HD or
almost full marks in the coursework marks doesn't mean you will easily pass
this subject or will get D and above grade. I also have known students who got
HD for the coursework but failed the hurdle and got 48-N.

5. Please start your revision early! Swot week is meant for studying and not for
holidays, nor going back to home country or home town. You can do that after
your exams. Also do not do any part-time work during swot week. Try to
negotiate for no pay study break during these difficult and stressful times.
