Diary

1. I opened
Macromedia
Director and this
came up. I clicked
Director File
underneath
Create New.
 2. I went to File and
Import. I selected
the assets I wanted
to import.

3. This Box came up for all my

images and I just clicked OK for
all of them.

4. This is the
cast where all
the Sprites
are stored.

5. I dragged the first background onto the

Stage and I shortened its length.
6. I added other assets and I had to shrink some of them.

7. I went on the score and clicked above where the first page ended. I double clicked and a Script
came up. I typed in “go to the Frame” and this made sure that when I play the Product it stops at
the chosen frame.

8. I went to Library, Behaviours, Animation,

Interactive and Rollover Member Change. I
dragged this option onto the CLICK HERE Button.
 9. This Box came up
and it asked me
what sprite I wanted
to show when
hovered. I chose the
second version of
the CLICK HERE
Button that was
another colour to
show that the
Button is a link.

10. I created a new page where I added the logo, back button, new background, text and some images I
then saved the Director file.

11. I clicked on the text and I went to Modify and then Font. I changed the font, size, colour and style.
12. I realised that the text Box background colour
changed the colour that I originally wanted for the
text so I had to go back and make it look like the
same colour as the back Button.

13. I was able to make the colour very

similar to the colour of the back Button.
I added a rollover on the back button
which shows the second version of the
arrow when hovered over.

14. I added some more text in the white boxes. I went on the
script and I asked to stop the frame where the second page
ended.

15. I went to Library, Behaviours, Navigation and Go to

Frame X Button. I dragged it onto the CLICK HERE
Button on the first page and on one of the text Boxes.

16. This Box came up asking me what frame I wanted to

link to.

17. I had added more sprites on the page and I copied

and pasted the information that I wanted to use from
a word document onto Director. I had to sort out
the layout of the words as they were too close
together.
 18. I changed the font, colour and size
of the text. I added a rollover on
the back button which shows the
second version of the arrow when
hovered over. I also went on the
script and I asked to stop the frame
where the second page ended.

19. I added the background for the links page. I dragged one of the Boxes I wanted to use onto the
About Ariana page so that it would be in a similar place to the Boxes on that page. When I added
the same assets for the links page, I placed them on top of the same assets from the About Ariana
Page so that they would be the same size and in the same location.

20. I added the BACK text but I gave its background the same colour as the pages’ background. I went
on the script and I asked to stop the frame where the page ended.

22. I went to Tools and I set it to classic. I then created
text Boxes for the links.

25. I added the background for the music videos

page. I dragged one of the Boxes I wanted to
use onto the links page so that it would be in
a similar place to the Boxes on that page.

When I added the same assets for the music

videos page, I placed them on top of the same

be the same size and in the same location.

titles, I had to change the size
and change the text Boxes
background colour.
 31. When I added the background colour, I
noticed that the text colour had changed,
so I had to change it so it would be a
similar colour to the rest of the text. I
did the same for the other text.

30. When I added the first picture, I

realised that the text was so big so I
decided to make the text smaller.

29. I linked the contents page and the

music video page together. I went
on the script and I asked to stop
the frame where the second page
ended. I added a rollover on the
back button which shows the
second version of the arrow
when hovered over.

32. On the next page, I dragged the Box I planned to use onto the
previous page so that I could make the Boxes the same width. When
adding the logo and back Button, I dragged them onto the previous
page so that they were the same size and in the same location.

33. I added the first music video onto the stage. I made
sure that it was big but that the play and pause Button
would fit.
35. I went to Library, Behaviours, 34. These Boxes came up when I dragged the option onto
Media, QuickTime and the pause and play Button. I chose the option Stop
QuickTime Control Button. for the pause Button and Play for the play Button.

36. I went on the script and I

asked to stop the frame

37. On the page for

“Problem”, I made the
layout just like the last
one. When I typed in the
text, I had to shrink it
since there were more
words than the previous
page. I made the pause and
the play Buttons working.

38. I went on the script and I asked to stop

page and the music video page together.
 39. When I tried to make sure the music video
was the same size and in the same position as
the other music video, I realised that they
couldn’t be the same size so I placed it in a
similar place.

43. I realised that on the page for Into You, the

video playing was not the 30 second clip so I
had to delete it and import the 30 second
video.

42. Since I replaced the video, I had to reset the

settings for the play and the pause Button so I
went to Code and Behaviour Inspector to get
rid of the settings. I then gave them the settings
to get them working again.

41. I linked the page for Focus and the Music

Videos page together.
 45. When I created the page for “Break
Free”, I made the layout just like the
other pages with music videos.
46. I linked the page for Break Free and
the Music Videos page together.
47. I went on the script and I asked to stop the frame
where the second page ended. I added a rollover on
the back button which shows the second version of
the arrow when hovered over. I linked this page and
the music video page together.

48. When I created the page for “Side to

Side”, I made the layout just like the
other pages with music videos.

49. I went on the script and I asked to

stop the frame where the second page
ended. I added a rollover on the back

50. I linked the page for Side to Side and

the Music Videos page together.

51. I went back to

the first page. I
right clicked
the close
Button and
went on Script.
At first, it had
lots of
information in
the script but
to get rid of
the
information, I
had to get rid
of its rollover.

52. I right clicked on the close Button again

and I typed in “quit”. This option lets the
User close the whole Product down when
clicked.
