want to work for - base it on facts they have particulary achieved or are particular of them -whatever they have
written, not any bs

Everybody has their own reason to study medicine, when Iapplied for med school i knew i
had one but till now forth year of medical school i realize concretly what it actually is. Im
an only child and i can tell i have felt many many times lonely, I knew my parents were
there, but though they wouldnt understandme, and I told myself: there is some reason why
we cant have family psychologists checking us up. So one day at the age of eleven i was
diagnosed with diabetes type one. At the beginning I felt proud of being unique and
different within my friends, because I had a disease to make me company, though this
disease was making my world to fall appart, the daily injections, the eatting restrictions, the
physical sensation of low blood sugar levels; so i started feeling not just alone, but carrying
also the weight of a big disease.

My doctor helped me, and still does, he would allways be there for me, and made me feel
so even he was not physically there, I knew he was always there helping me to fight my
fears and got proud when I learned to inject me insulin by myself. He knew how tough was
to carry on with the waight of a chronical and life changing disease. He knew i was walking
through life knowing that my fate was very deffrent from the one people surrounding me,
that no kid my age would understand me or be able to fit in my shoes, not even my parents
knew what was going through my mind, but the doctor serene, took waight off my
shoulders and in a letter told my parents, teachers, friends and me many things we had to
know, and down below his phone number. The letter itself was a tool not to forget, and his
number an invisible hand holding mine.

I want to be the doctor who holds their patienents hand and tell them verbally and with
actions: "you are facing something life changing and tough, its normal to feel alone, but
with me there, you will have somebody to hold your hand and help you carry on, ill be

I dont see myself anywhere else but studying medicine. I know i wouldnt feel so alive
