PROBLEM:

On or about 2030H on August 5,2016 a problem on WATER LEAKING was found out on the
following areas on basement of HOTEL BUILDING:

 Hallway fronting GYM main door

 Back (outside) of FEMALE locker room
 Front of POTABLE water PUMP ROOM
 Clinic
 Inside Male locker room

Per observation, the main collector of the drainage system of the building is FULL and the leaking comes
from the clean out.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:

 Somewhere in the main collector pipe restricts the flow of drainage water going to the STP
EQUALIZATION tank
 STRAINER in the EQUALIZATION tank is full
 Any of the 3 UNDERFLOW pipes from EQUALIZATION Tank to AERATION Tank got clogged
 Irregular maintaining of CLEANLINESS of STAINER in the EQUALIZATION Tank

ACTION TAKEN:

We drain the effluent water from CLARIFIER TANK by using flexible hose for the purpose of
LOWERING the water level at STP and to obtain good water flow going to STP.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

 Procure standby SUBMERSIBLE PUMP for ease of draining water (Emergency Purposes)
 Must have a STP attendant to thoroughly maintain the cleanliness and oversee the STP
operations
 Must observe Supplier’s Operation Manual
