Type of magazine
a. The target audience is mostly composed of English-speaking high school girls
and young adult women (age 17-30). They live in metropolis where various
cosmetic brands are accessible. Their level of education varies from high school
to postgraduate. The audience expect to find information of makeup looks and
products so that they know what kind of makeup is trend now and which product
to buy.
b. The magazine is about makeup products. Therefore, it is going to include trendy
makeup looks, brands information, and limited edition products.
c. Advertisers are Starbucks, L'oreal, and Innisfree all of which share similar target
audience as Beauté does.

a. Cover: cover is going to be a close-up of the model’s face, and I am going to use
both natural light and artificial light to ensure the lighting is enough. Main light
source will be the sunlight, and to fill the shadow of the other side of the face, an
artificial light source will be placed in the opposite side of the sunlight.
b. Advertisement (Starbucks): the focus of the advertisement will be the coffee cup,
so shallow depth of field will be applied - low F-stop number is required. An
artificial light source will shine the cup.
c. Advertisement (Innisfree-mask sheet): same as the cover, both natural light and
artificial light will be used.
