RAM BLOWOUT PREVENTERS

Our Ram Blowout Preventers used in drilling operations are designed to close the well and protect personnel
and equipment by reliably stopping unexpected rash of oil, gas and drilling mud from the well bore. The Ram
Blowout Preventers seal the annulus around drill pipes, casings, tubings or the hole when strings of pipes,
casings, tubings are out of hole, and directing the drilling fluid from the well to the mud tanks, in order to relieve
well pressure.

Our Ram Blowout Preventers meet all current API 16A requirements. They are built for standard or sour service
application being available in single or double configuration.

FEATURES
• Size: 7 1/16” ÷ 20 3/4” (21 1/4”).
• Pressure rating: 2,000 ÷ 10,000 PSI.
• Operating pressure: 1,000 ÷ 3,000 PSI.
• End to end connections: studded flanges in compliance with API 6A.
• Outlets: studded flanges in compliance with API 6A.
• Hydraulically operated mechanisms provide fast and reliable closure of the well bore.
• Manually operated locking mechanisms lock the rams and hold the rams mechanically closed even when
actuating pressure is released.
• Wellbore pressure acts on the rams to increase the sealing force and maintain the seal in case of hydraulic
pressure loss.
• Hydraulic opening bonnets expose the ram assemblies and bonnet seal carrier for a quick change-out.
• Available bonnet seal carrier eliminates high make-up torque on bonnet bolts.
• Well pressure is isolated beside hydraulic fluid pressure using two sealing systems.

BOP CONTROL UNITS

Our BOP Control Units used for drilling operations are designed to produce, store and deliver hydraulic energy
under controlled pressure fluid form using a system of pipes and/or fire tested hoses. Our BOP Control Units
supply and control the hydraulic fluid operating the blowout preventer stack and associated equipment. The
system is designed and produced to assure a minimum of maintenance and repair during operation and between
operations.

Our BOP Control System meets all current API 16D requirements and customer specifications.

FEATURES
• Maximum pressure: 3,000 psi (210 bar) or 5,000 psi (350 bar), on customer request.
• Standard voltage / frequency available: 380 V / 50 Hz
• Six number of station fluid control as standard or more, on customer request.
• Electric and air-operated pumps used together in a control system to provide additional dependability.
• Float hydro-pneumatic accumulators do not contain rubber diaphragms or bags, which can fail.
• Two regulators that control hydraulic pressure (annular and manifold pressure).
• Warning lamps and alarm for low accumulator pressure, low air pressure, low hydraulic fluid level.
• Quick connectors between:
- Control unit and control panel
- Control unit and operated equipment

75
BOP CONTROL UNITS

Our pump accumulator unit consists of a fluid reservoir, hydro-pneumatic serial connected accumulators and
pumps. The pressure of the fluid stored in accumulators is achieved with the help of the pumps and pressure is
maintained with the help of a nitrogen cushion situated at the upper part of the accumulator.

The fluid control manifolds consist of four-way, three-position valves; remote control cylinders, and hydraulic
pressure regulators. These components can be mounted in various configurations specified by the operator. The
valves are available in 1” size and the valve actuation can be manual, pneumatic, or electric.

To select the proper pump accumulator unit, operating volumes (open and close) should be first obtained for the
selected ram, annular type preventers and other equipment.

HYDRO-PNEUMATIC ACCUMULATOR FEATURES

• Recipient type: cylindrical.
• Separation element between hydraulic oil and nitrogen: stainless steel float.
• Safety element: safety valve which prevents nitrogen loss.
• Provided with isolation ball valve.
• Built so as to be refilled with nitrogen at a preset pressure.

76
BOP CONTROL UNITS

Our Remote Control Panel is designed for operating manifold valves of the Control Unit and is located on the rig
floor.
- Air or electrical version
- A master control valve or a master button which is operated simultaneously with the selected function to
initiate the operation provides additional safety
- Equipped with a memory system which indicates the last position of stack function
