Venus and Sun are exalted in this chart and should give very good results in their
respective Dasa and antara. As per Phaladeepika “If a planet is in its exaltation, (in the
dasa of that planet) the native would be bestowed with many auspicious results and
ownership of prosperous land and property. He would be so wealthy that even kings will
appreciate his wealth. He would be very kind and compassionate and will win the
appreciation of others and will help them. Like the great King Vikramaditya, he would be
very famous for his tactics, good qualities, courage, donations and tactful intelligence”.
But unluckily this native may not experience the benefits of neither Venus nor Sun dasa
since Venus dasa commences only by 2075 and Sun dasa only by 2095 for this chart. But
good results can be expected in their antras and the well placed Ve and Su as well as the
Lagna lord placed along with exalted Ve in 10th (forming a Rajayoga) indicates that this
is a good chart. Further many of the good results of the good placement of Venus could
be experienced during the dasa of Jupiter since Jupiter is the depositor of Venus. Since 2
planets are exalted and one planet is in own house and 2 of them (Venus and Saturn) has
connections with the lagna lord, we can infer that for sure we dealing with a good chart
indicating many good results.
This chart has a Maha purusha yoga called Malavaya yoga since Ve is exalted in
10th house, the results could manifest in Mercury dasa or in Jupiter dasa (the depositor of
Venus)
The striking factor about the chart is that 3rd lord (throat, sound, hand, ear) lord is
exalted in 10th (job/profession) and the exalted planet is Venus (fine arts like music,

dance etc). Note that the Lagna itself is Gemini (a man with drum and women with
Veena) and also that the 7th house (fine arts – dance, Jupiter signifying voice) is strong
and the 7th house lord Jupiter aspecting 7th and is placed in 3rd. Thus the chart indicates
a talented kid, especially in fine arts. Keeping this fact aside, let us see what could be the
general reading about the chart as per the beginner’s document.

1st house: Ketu in Lagna. Prasnamarga tells us that – “If malefics are in lagna - failure,
diseases related to head, sadness, bad fame, loss of position or migrating to other places
distant from native land, loss of wealth, body pain and health problems etc results”.
These results should manifest in Ketu dasa or in Mercury Dasa. Mercury Dasa starts from
2051 onwards (After 60 years of age) and Ketu dasa from 2068, Considering head of the
native, Moon is the significator of left eye and is placed in 8th house and is the
significator of childhood. Thus the native may have eye problems and minor intermittent
health problems from the child hood onwards, and may have to use spectacles from an
early age. The lagna lord Mercury is placed in Sustana in 10th house. Phaladeepika tells
us that – “If Lagna lord is in Sustana - fame, health, wealth, radiance etc results. The
grace and wealth and all such good results to the native will increase day by day like the
moon of white fortnight”. This points to the general trend of the horoscope, pointing to
the fact that it is the horoscope of an individual who will start from the minor beginnings
and will achieve success in his life though his hard work and efforts. Lagna lord Mercury
is weak since it is debilitated. Lagna is the body of the native. Lagna lord is weak means
body is weak. The native will have a medium sized (not tall, not fat) weak body as
signified by the Mercury in Pisces.

2nd house: No planet in 2nd house. But the 2nd house lord Moon aspects the 2nd house,
indicating that the native will experience all good results such as Money, wealth, property
etc in his life. The maximum benefic results provided by Moon’s dasa cannot be expected
since the native may not experience Moon’s dasa since it commences only by 2101 only.

3rd house: The benefic Jupiter is present in 3rd house. As per Prasnamarga – “If benefics
are in 3rd house - coborns, help from coborns, help from everywhere, good health,
courage etc results”. For sure the native will experience all these good results during his
Jupiter dasa during 2016 to 2032. The 3rd lord Sun is placed in Sustana. As per
Phaladeepika – “If 3rd lord is in Sustana - help from brothers, good news, courage, group
leadership, pride, reputation from all directions, public dependence on the native, all good
qualities etc results”. The Sun’s dasa may not be experienced by the native since it
commences only by 2095, but these good results will surely manifest during the Jupiter
dasa since Sun is the depositor of Jupiter.

4th house: The 4th house lord Mercury is in Sustana. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 4th
lord is in Sustana - help from relatives, interest in agriculture, sexual pleasure (good
family life with a loving wife), gain of vehicle, purchase or gain of new land property-
buildings or houses, purchase of new furniture or decorative items, gain of good position
etc results”. Since Mercury is the lagna lord all these good results applies to the native.

But it should also be noted that 4th indicates the house of the native and the 4th house
lord is debilitated, and also that Mercury is the natural significator of teenage. As per
Phaladeepika – “If the planet is in debilitation, the native will suffer degradation in status
and profession due to his own doings. He will be miserable, and will develop bad habits.
Debt, dependence on bad people, living in a dirty place (a place about which the native is
not at all feel satisfied), becoming servant to others, the hardships due to long travels etc
all would be present. (If the native goes abroad during this period, he will suffer abroad
and the journey will not be fruitful at all in terms of benefit)”. Since Mercury dasa
commences only 2051 (after the age of 60) this does not directly applies to the native, but
rather in his teenage this applies to the family in which he is born (4th house signifies
native’s home where he lives along with his father and mother). Thus it can be concluded
that during the teenage of the native his parents will suffer financial set backs, and also
that they would be living in a rented house away from home (since both Virgo and Pisces
signify places away from native place). His teenage period will suffer due the status,
condition etc of his parents – and he will have do extra efforts during his teenage to
come-up as a successful individual.

5th house: The 5th lord Venus in is Sustana. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 5th lord is in
Sustana - birth of children, happy good life with relatives, gain of ministerial position (or
becoming personal assistant to people in power and position), respect, great enjoyment of
good foods and drinks, serving meals and drinks to others out of hospitality and kindness,
having good qualities and ethic appreciated by good people results”. Again too much
good results cannot be expected since the native may not experience Venus dasa. But
similar results could be expected (these results will materialize) during Jupiter dasa, since
Jupiter is the depositor of Venus. The exalted 5th lord indicates that the native is
intelligent, talented, likes to worships goddess Durga or that the japa of Durga related
mantras will benefit him.

6th house: 6th lord Mars is in Sustana. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 6th lord is in
Sustana- defeating enemies adventurously and destroying them, absence of disease,
kindness, fearlessness, boldness and courage out of valorous nature, well being etc
results”. The native experienced Mars dasa till 7 years of age in childhood. Thus except
for the fact that this placement of 6th lord indicates the pious nature of the native, these
results does not have much significance.

7th house: 7th lord is in Sustana and 7th lord aspects 7th house, both indicating benefic
results. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 7th lord is in Sustana- cloths, ornaments, bed and
beddings, love of spouse, greatly indulged sexual pleasures and related enjoyment,
conducting pleasant festivals and participating in them, tours to pleasant picnic spots etc
results”. Since Jupiter is the 7th lord these benefic results should manifest in the dasa of
Jupiter during 2016 to 2032. There is a malefic Rahu is present in 7th house – this points
to some bad results especially during Rahu dasa and some during the Rahu antara of
Jupiter dasa. As per Prasnamarga – “If malefics are in 7th house - death or disease to
wife, separation from wife, death or disease to husband (for women), separation from

husband (for women), obstruction to pre-planned journey, urinary diseases etc results”.
Since Jupiter aspects 7th the bad results gets modified. Rahu dasa is from 1998 to 2016,
i.e from the age of 6 to 24. Thus this period could cause broken love affairs, obstruction
and extending of pre-planned journeys etc. Rahu dasa will give moderate results only,
coupled with the fact that Rahu dasa is also supposed to give the results of debilitated
Mercury (the lord of Lagna and 4th house), mercury being the depositor of the other part
of Rahu, which is Ketu. Thus during Rahu dasa the native will live a moderate but
eventful life, his family suffering financial setbacks, his talents flourishing, extra efforts
undertaken to overcome the shortcomings (both by him and the family), and to rise to a
good status. But the efforts will fructify to the maximum only in Jupiter dasa which will
follow the Rahu dasa. Since Rahu is always supposed to results of its depositor and the
planets with which it conjuncts, in general Rahu in this chart provides a positive turn (due
to the maximum influence of Jupiter on Rahu) – the guiding force from Guru and Father
(Jupiter is the lord of 10th house signifying father. Also note that Sun is exalted).

8th house: 8th lord is in own house. Phaladeepika states that - If a planet is in its own
house, (in the dasa of that planet) the native will get many rewards and respect from the
wealthy and well-respected people. He too will be wealthy; otherwise he will have a
stable and good family life (with wife, children and having good relation with many
relatives). In the period of that planet (in its own house), he will construct new house,
purchase new property, or may even gain them from some one (i.e. not purchasing but
instead gaining due to heredity etc). The public will respect him (and he will become
popular in his native place). What ever he lost in previous bad dasa periods will come
back to him (i.e. his life will again become study, peaceful and happy)” Saturn’s dasa will
provide all these good results to the native during 2032 to 2051 (between the age of 40 to
59 years of age). Earlier we found that Jupiter dasa will bestow all kinds of good results
on the native, and the above reading regarding Saturn’s dasa points to the fact that those
good results will continue to manifest during Saturn’s dasa as well. But since 8th house
also indicates livelihood, the Saturn’s dasa may cause a dramatic shift in the profession of
the native – and he may drop all his interest in fine arts etc during this period. Saturn in
8th (house of longevity) in his own house indicates that the native has very good
longevity. A benefic Moon is present in 8th house. As per Prasnamarga – “If benefics are
in 8th house - health and longevity results. If benefics are in 8th house - extra small
buildings or special building for worship or meditation, gain of buildings etc results”. All
such beneficial results such as meditation place, or a small temple, may manifest during
the Saturn dasa during 40 to 59 years of age.

9th house: A Malefic Mars is present in 9th house. As per Prasnamarga – “If malefics are
in 9th house - disease to father, children’s children, teachers, or guru; less luck or un-luck
etc results. It should be understood that Punya, meditation, Sukrita, blessings of fore
fathers, blessings of god etc are less or moderate. That means the individual would be
generally unlucky”. 9th lord Saturn is in Dustana (8th house). As per Phaladeepika – “If
9th lord is in Dustana - troubles caused by the anger of deity worshiped earlier by the
native, inauspicious results, danger to wife and children, bad deeds, death of helplessness

to father or guru etc results”. These bad results could manifest in the beginning of
Saturn’s dasa (the depositor of Mars) itself. Saturn dasa Mercury Antara (2035-2037) is
not good for his father, and he may loss his father during this period. In Mars dasa of the
native (till 7 years of the native) his father must have suffered many set-backs.

10th house: 2 benefics are present in 10th house. As per Prasnamarga –“ If benefics are in
10th house - construction of roads, temples, auditorium or anything else beneficial to the
public by the native; gain of good servants and followers, ruling power, strength of
words, good dependents, fame etc results”. The 10th lord Jupiter is in Sustana. As per
Phaladeepika – “If the 10th lord is in Sustana - professional success, success in all deeds
without obstruction, happy and successful life, fame-good deeds-respect and reward etc
results”. Naturally these results will manifest in the dasa of Jupiter during his 24 to 40
years of age.

11th house: A malefic, Sun is present in 11th house. As per Prasnamarga – “If malefics
are in 11th house - sadness becoming less and happiness emerging, desires fulfilling, gain
of wealth etc results.”. These results will manifest in Saturn’s dasa Sun’s antara since
both of them are “Paraspara Karaka” in this chart (one in own house, other exalted, and
both in kendra to each other) during 2041-2042. The reason for major sadness is already
mentioned above. 11th lord is in Sustana. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 11th lord is in
Sustana- well-being without obstructions, gain of wealth and happiness, success in every
field, return or meetings with relatives, many servants-followers-helpers-well wishers, all
kinds of worldly success, rise of supreme luck etc results”.

12th house: 12th lord Venus is in Sustana. As per Phaladeepika – “If the 12th lord is in
Sustana- expense for good people and for good deeds, visit to devotional pilgrim places
which can cause destruction of sins, conducting devotional rituals (such as yaga, homa
etc), respect from government and authorities etc results”. All this will happen during the
last years of life.
