ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT

1. A brilliant young educator was put in charge of a new department in a national high school. He
had improvised a large group of people. He began his career by trying to impress everyone with
the fact that he was like boss. He would dismiss people he thought an incompetent, he barked
out order to subordinate and he criticized anyone who happened to be around. Everybody’s
morale was low in front of anyone. If you were the direct supervisor of this department head
what would you do?

In order to be a brilliant educator you must be competent, you must have the skills and
knowledge that will enable you to do your job and rely on you anytime. Respect for others by
treating all people in a good manner. You must upgrade yourself rather than letting your skills or
knowledge become outdated, by seeking out ways of staying current. Supporting each other,
you take time to show others how to do things properly and lend an ear when necessary. People
want to be heard so you give people a chance to explain their ideas properly.

Act of professionalism is important; a good educator must possess the good

characteristics of a good leader. If I were the direct supervisor, I would talk to him privately and
ask him to explain his side before I conclude to any decisions. To the people he had criticized I
will assure them that I will give legal actions to his behavior.

2. State your topic presentation, and then shape you reflection.

TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT- is a strategy for continuously improving performance at every level

and partners can nurture positive and productive involvement , support and feedback from those
entities.

REFLECTION:

In my own opinion total quality management can be summarized as management system for a
customer focused organization that involves all employees in continual improvement. It uses
strategy, data, and effective communications to integrate the quality discipline into the culture and
activities of the organization.
