1. Galvanic Spa System Overview

By following this system, you can earn at least $3000 within 3 months and even possibly have 5 frontline Executives.
After 9 to 12 months, you can even achieve $10,000 per month if you combine the business approach as well as the
product demonstrations!! Our system is not a typical home party-system with skin care products, but a perfect way to
find leaders.

The best approach is still the one on one approach, asking people, “Would you be opposed to earning up to $500 per
evening or $2000 per month?” Most people say, “Yes, what do I have to do?”… In this situation, our approach is
completely different from the typical home party system where the host doesn’t earn cash, but just gets a small free
gift.

2. Workshop Goals

 Total Retail Sales Goal of $1000-$2,000 for the night

 Total Retail Profits of $500 for the Distributor or which can be shared with the host
o 50% of the retail profits up to $200.00 can be given to the host as a reward for hosting the
demonstration, or
o 100% of the retail profit can be given to the host or hostess as an incentive to enroll as a distributor
and hold additional workshops
 Set up 2 new workshops for the next week introducing you to up to 20 more new people

 Enroll 1-2 people new distributors

 Create minimum of $4,500 in wholesale purchases from NSE in one month.

 Set up ADR’s for the new customers and distributors.

 Create 1-2 new Qualifying Executives (LOI) and duplicate workshop program.

3. Workshop Concept

Present the Galvanic Spa through demonstration with a focus on face care. Don’t give the impression we are only
there to see something. The demonstration should be effective enough that the guests finally ask, “Can I buy this??”

This is not a Business Opportunity Meeting. The idea is to put a distributor in action and making money immediately.
Once people earn some money, people listen more easily and the rest follows naturally.

4. Hostess & Presenter Synergy

There are two main roles to be filled in the workshop -- you have a presenter and you have a host. The host is
responsible for inviting guests to the workshop (typically held in their home) and providing beverages and/or desserts.
The presenter is responsible for everything else including the workshop materials, the knowledge and the overall the
running of the workshop.

6. Using Your Invitation (For the Hostess)

Your invitation is crucial for the success of your Spa Workshop. The workshop hostess will use the invitation to invite
people to the demonstration.

GOAL: Distribute 20 Invitations, confirm 12 and have 7-10 people attend

Tips for Successful Invitations

Step 1- Personally and Individually Invite Each Quest.


If possible, personally hand the invitation at the most 1 week before the scheduled workshop. If you can’t
physically hand the invitation to your guest, call them on the phone 1 week prior to the workshop. Feel free to
ask your sponsor to help you make phone calls.

Be enthusiastic! An enthusiastic explanation with personal experiences with the Galvanic Spa is
indispensable!!

Have a Strong Closing. The CLOSING is very important!

“Are you free on _____ (Day) at (Time) ? Great, because I had a friend tell me about this incredible
new hand held device that irons wrinkles from peoples faces in 10 minutes making them look
younger. I am really excited about it; you really have to see this. I am having a small get together of
8 people at my house on (Day) at (Time) to demonstrate how to use it as well as to socialize a bit.
So, can I confirm that you will attend?

Step 2- Mail the Invitation


Only mail the invitation if you were not able to personally hand the invitation to your guest.

Step 3- Confirm
Call the day prior to the workshop and confirm again that they are planning to come and stress the
importance of their being there since you can only have 8 guests.

7. How to Conduct Workshop (For Presenter)

Your workshop should only last one hour. The basic structure is this:
 Introduction (5 minutes)
 Demonstration (12 – 15 minutes)
 Taking Orders (15 minutes)
 Chatting (15 minutes)

7.1 Introduction
Have the host introduce the distributor and talk about why they are so excited about the Galvanic Spa.

Have the Distributor discuss briefly their reason for being excited and why they are doing the business.

Show before and after pictures of just the face.

7.2 Choose a “Before and After Model”


During the flip chart presentation when you get to the “Spa Demonstration” slide, you now choose somebody to
perform a demonstration on. Here are some characteristics to look for in your “model”:

 Over 40-60
 Average wrinkles
 Average weight
 If you choose a man, make sure that he is shaved.

Ask the hostess to read the flip chart: Ask the hostess to help you by reading the flip chart while you
conduct the demonstration. The flip chart is designed to follow along with your demonstration.

The Result: Your hostess is making a product presentation without realizing it! This way several anxieties
are already overcome.

7.3 Begin Flip Chart Presentation


Simply read the notes for each slide in the flipchart. If people start asking questions just let them know that it
will be easier if we save all questions until the end.

7.4 Do a Spa Demonstration

7.4.1 Prepare the Face


 Put a towel around your subject’s neck and tuck it cross wise behind the subject’s back.

 Moisten your test subject’s face with your wash cloth.

 Cleanse your subject’s face with 180 Face Wash. Before washing, ask if your subject is
allergic to vitamin C. The 180 Face Wash has a high concentration of Vitamin C.

7.4.2 Apply Pre-Treatment Gel


 Apply pre-treatment gel (WHITE TUBE) on half of the face.

 Pre-Treatment Gel…
• Is Negatively Charged
• Contains TEA Cocoyl Glutamate to purify skin and allows pores to breathe.
Marigold, Sea Kelp, and Vanilla Extracts soothe and condition the skin

7.4.3 Set Galvanic Spa for Pre-Treatment


 Set the device (1 Fountain; 5 Minutes)
• Click once for single fountain icon
• Wait for the “1” to appear
• Click until you see a “5” appear

7.4.4 Begin Treatment

 Moisten both your hands

 Place one wet hand on the device and place other wet hand on the neck of your subject.
This is important because otherwise the machine will not work properly. You must have the
other hand touching the person to complete the circuit. Hold the neck gently to control the
head.

 Place the device against the skin. As soon as you put the device against the skin the
machine give 1-3 beeps. Once you start moving the device on the skin, it will then beep
approx. every 20 seconds to let you know that the machine is working. Once it reaches the
end of the selected time, it will again do a series of beeps to let you know the time is up.

The 1-3 beeps are indicative of the current level that is used by the Galvanic Spa after
measuring the conductivity of the individual user’s skin. The current levels are 0.125, 0.250,
and 0.350 mA. When the Galvanic Instrument is touched to your skin, it sends out a
controlled level of current out. It times how long it takes for the current to return to the

instrument. People with highly conductive skin (usually high skin moisture and electrolyte
content) will get a level three (3 beeps). Their skin can tolerate high levels of Galvanic.
People with less conductive skin will get a level two, or level one setting depending on how
conductive their skin is. A lot of people think that getting a level one means that the
instrument will be less effective. Remember that the instrument is determining the right level
for YOU. If you get a level one setting, a level one setting is what your skin needs, and you
will get effective results. Also remember that people’s skin moisture and electrolyte content
can change so don’t be surprised if one day you get a level two setting and another day you
have a level three. Whichever setting you get is the setting your skin needs, and can tolerate
at that time.

7.4.5 About the Pre-Treatment


During the Pre-Treat Cycle, the Galvanic Instrument and the Pre-Treat Gel are negatively charged.
These negative charges repel each other, driving the Pre-Treat Gel into the skin. The Pre-Treat Gel
is design to bind with impurities deep in the skin.

7.4.6 It is all in the Motion!

 Move Instrument slowly and evenly.

 Keep as much metal on the skin and push rather firmly.

 Never lift spa from the skin. If you do, it is ok. Simply place the spa back onto the skin.

 Always work your spa in an upward motion.

 Repeat each movement 5 times.

 After 5 minutes, the instrument will signal several final beeps.

Areas To Target

There primary areas you should concentrate


on during the demo:

o Under the Eye


o Above the Cheek Bone
o Below the Cheek Bone
o Nostril area
o Upper Lip/Lower Chin
o Forehead

The picture to the left shows the basic


movements that you should use during the
demonstration. Notice that you always work
in an upward motion. Always use more
pressure when you are working up than
when you are moving the instrument down.

* If the gel runs begins to run out, reapply more gel.

7.4.7 Apply Treatment Gel
 When you hear the ending beeps, wash the Galvanic Spa’s head and remove the excess
gel from the face with a damp cloth.

 Apply the treatment gel generously to half the face. The Treatment Gel is Positively
Charged and contains the following:
 A form of vitamin E to help moisturize, condition, and provide antioxidant protection.
 Arginine facilitates recovery from stress.
 Rose, Sandalwood, and Jasmine Extracts soothe and condition the skin.
 Magnesium to revive and invigorate tired skin.
 Contains Aspartate to naturally balance your skin's pH.

7.4.8 Set Galvanic Spa for Treatment

 Set spa with Two Fountains (for positive current).

 Set for the time for 5 minutes.

 Make sure both your hands are wet.

 The Galvanic Spa Instrument will automatically analyze your again.

During this five minutes this a great time to build a relationship with your subject. Some examples of
questions are:

 What do you do?


 Do you have your own business?
 Have you ever thought of having your own business?
 Do you have children?
 Etc.

7.5 Post Treatment Product Application
When the Treatment phase is complete, you can remove any excess gel with a damp cloth and then we
begin to apply the Post Treatment products. Be sure that someone continues reading the flip chart
presentation so that each product is explained.

7.5.1 Tru Face Line Corrector


 Effectively softens moderate to deep lines around the mouth, eyes, and
forehead.
 Uses peptides to send age-reversing signals to collagen-producing cells.
 Apply just around eyes and around laugh lines.

 Positively Charged product and works really well with the Galvanic Spa.
 Set spa with Two Fountains (for positive current).
 Set the time for 1-3 minutes.
 Use the spa to work the line corrector into the skin where applied.

7.5.2 180 Skin Mist

 Diminishes the appearance of pores for a younger, more refined


complexion.
 Generously spray Nu Skin 180°® Skin Mist over face with a sweeping
motion. Avoid the eyes.

 Repairs DNA damage from previous sun exposure to prevent the
formation of age spots, sagging, and wrinkles.
 Blocks a broad spectrum of UVA and UVB rays to protect skin from

barrier protection.
180 Night Complex
 Promotes DNA repair, increasing the ability of cells to rebound from
age and stress.
 Combats skin damage caused by sun exposure.
 Enhances skin’s natural barrier function for silky-soft skin.
 Protects against free radicals with multiple antioxidants for glowing,
healthy looking skin.

7.6 Continue Presentation

It is preferable to wait 10 minutes until you showcase the results. After 10 minutes, the effect is even more
noticeable because the ingredients continue to work inside the skin.

You can spend the next 10 minutes continuing with the presentation and talk about the other ways that the
Galvanic Spa can be used. The presentation continues to explain the type of results that you can get when
you use the body or scalp adapter.

7.7 Look at Results
Use a white piece of paper to cover the half of the face that was treated. Point out that there are going to be
certain areas that we look for improvements. Tell them that you are going to look for changes in elasticity,
lift, pores, and lines. We are going to look under the eyes, around the mouth and at the forehead.

Remove the white piece of paper. Let the guests concentrate on it (ASK them to watch carefully for the
differences), and then switch the piece of paper to cover the untreated side. Now, let them inspect the
treated side. Repeat the same for the front, the eyes, the cheeks, the chin etc.

ELASTICITY: Gently pinch the cheek and show the difference in elasticity in the non-
treated side and the much firmer, tighter skin of the treated part.
LIFT: The treated cheek is generally more lifted than the other side.
PORES: Explain how the pores are much more refined around the nose, chin & cheek.
LINES: Explain how the lines extending from the nose to the mouth are minimized.
(Problem area for most people).
UNDER EYE BAGS: The “bagginess” under the eyes will be reduced.
UNDER EYE WRINKLES: The wrinkles under and next to the eyes are less defined.
FOREHEAD: The wrinkles on the forehead are less noticeable (sometimes as much as
50% reduced).
LIPS: The fine lines above and beside the lips will be reduced as well.

DON’T ASK: “Do you see the difference?” because everybody will say YES without seeing it.

Then ask: “AND THIS AFTER ONLY 12 to 13 MINUTES!! COULD YOU IMAGINE WHICH RESULTS THIS
GIVES AFTER 3 TRATMENTS IN 10 DAYS? OR AFTER 3 MONTHS ?!?!?”
“IT IS A VERY SIMPLE SYSTEM. YOU ONLY NEED 5 PRODUCTS, A GALVANIC SPA AND JUST A
LITTLE TIME. WE RECOMMEND USING THE MACHINE TWICE A WEEK FOR THE FIRST MONTH.
EACH SESSION TAKES ONLY 15 MINUTES.”

7.8 Foot Treatment
If you have 2 distributors present with 2 Galvanic Spas while one distributor is doing the face of one
subject, do the feet of the other subject.

7.8.1 Items Needed:

 A square plastic box about 15” long and 8” wide


 Bath Towel
 Pharmanex Flex Crème
 Epoch Ice Dancer
 Epoch Fire Walker

7.8.2 Have the Subject wash their feet Nu Skin Anti Bacterial Gel.
7.8.3 Dry the foot with a towel.
7.8.4 Rub Fire Walker on the soles of the subject’s feet and Massage the foot with the Galvanic Spa
for 3 minutes on 1 fountain.
7.8.5 Put Ice Dancer on the subject’s legs and massage the foot with the Galvanic Spa for 3
minutes on 1 fountain.
7.8.6 If the subject has aches and pains, add the Flex Crème.

7.9 Tru Face Essence Ultra


Talk about ARNOX and the Arnox Inhibitor coming out in the fall of 2008.

Talk about the 3rd party clinical study done in which 99.8% of participants had a regrowth of elastin to that of a
20 year old.

7.10 Galvanic Spa for the Body

Say, “The Galvanic Spa is also for the body. Use it for reduction in the appearance of cellulite

7.11 Hand Out Order Forms

Hand out order forms with a pen and say, “If there is anything you have questions about, please mark it.”

Once you have handed out all of the order forms to all of the attendees, go back to the first person and ask,
“Do you have any questions about anything?”

7.12 Answer Questions

Typically people will start asking questions now.

“Can I use the gels in combination with my own (non Nu Skin) products?”

Never give negative answers, but say e.g.: “Well, you can, but I cannot guarantee you the same results. Our
products really make the difference.” You may also suggest that the ingredients in the other products may
not be compatible with the gels as well. Our specially formulated products work synergistically with each
proprietary conductor to deliver targeted benefits to key areas of your body.

“Do I have to buy all these products?”

A collection of our premier daily skin care products has been put together for you. It contains everything for
your daily skin care regime plus the Galvanic Spa, 2 packs of gels, and line corrector. It has a value of
almost $700 dollars. It is available to you for $549.

“How often do I have to do the treatment?”

Normally a treatment takes about 10-15 minutes. For optimal results, you should do it a treatment twice a
week during your first month and then once a week after that.

“The spa costs so much and I have often bought expensive cosmetic products that didn’t have any
result!”

This is why we suggest purchasing the just the gels to get started. You can arrange for your spa with the
hostess. After you have seen the results on you, then you can decide.

NOTE: For these Spa appointments, plan officially 50 minutes for the first time. You need time to properly
prepare the face and complete the spa, plus you want to leave time for building relationship and answering
questions.

7.13 Look for Hosts

Once everything is collected, you say: “That was it. I only have 1 more question. I still have time next week
to schedule two more Galvanic Spa Workshops. The only thing you have to do is just distribute 25
invitations to friends/relatives/neighbors in order to get 10 to 12 people at the workshop. Who would like to
organize a workshop for next week and share in the profits from the sales?”

People will expect you to ask this question. 4 or 5 people will look down immediately; the others keep
looking you right into the eyes. You step forward to 2 people who are looking down, lean in a bit till you are

at their height and say: “Do you want to organize a fun workshop, don’t you?!? “ This rather modest, shy
person doesn’t dare to say no.

“Of course, you wouldn’t do this for nothing. You would receive 50% of the retail profits up to $200 per
workshop for contacting your friends and confirming them to make sure we have a good turn out”

8 Handling Orders
After everyone has left, sit down with your hostess and review the order forms. Use the “Party Retail Summary
Sheet” to help you calculate the profits for the night.

Once the sales and profits have been calculated, ask the hostess the following questions:

“Tonight we sold $X,XXX and you earned $XXX. We can write you a check right now or we can apply
this to your own purchases. What is your preference?

Are you interested in making more money? If we register you, and you are willing to host 2 more
workshops, I would be willing to give you the entire retail profit for the evening, and you can
participate in even more commissions on future sales.”

If the hostess says “yes”, immediately register her. Now, work with the hostess on handling the orders placed. Let
the hostess place the orders so that she can learn how to this. This is great “on the job” training!

9 Follow Up – Drive the Lines Deep

9.1 Distribute Orders

Personally deliver each order to your customer, if possible. This is a great way to be face to face with your
customer again. In advance of meeting with your customer, set them up an on-line account. And bring with
you a copy of the NSE Catalog to show and leave with them.

While at their home:


 Tell the customer about NSE’s ADR program and how they can earn 20% credit for every dollar spent
that can be spent on other products. Ask the customer if they would like to put the Spa Gels and 180
on ADR.
 Show the customer the NSE catalog and your favorite products. Ask the customer if they would like to
try some of these products.
 Show your customer how to log into their account and shop.
 Set up the customer’s ADR with them and invite them to try some of the other products before
checking out.
 If the customer isn’t scheduled to host their own party, approach them again. Ask the customer if they
would like to set up a retail workshop and incentivise them by paying them 50% of the retail profits up
to $200.
 Ask the customer if they could use an additional $500-$2000/month and is interested in doing Galvanic
Spa Workshops too. If so, register them as a distributor and set up a time to review the Getting
Started Document and to go through Strategy Planning.
