Back Ground
Kishangarh is one of the largest marbal yard of Rajasthan state is situated near by Ajner district. This
district comes under Arid zone of the Rajasthan state. It covers 11.60% of total area of arid zone of the state.
Some of the area of come under grip of drought due to lack of rainfall. The rainy days are limited to
maximum 15mm in a year.
Main occupation of the people of the area is agriculture where male of female are working. A major head of
male, female and children population is working in marbal mandi-Kishangarh .The social system of the
area is full of inequalities and ill traditions. Caste, creed and gender based discrimination is very much in
practice in this area. Everlasting famine conditions making lives miserable of the marginalized, especially
girls and women. Due to unemployment and poverty people of marginalized communities are forced to lead
a family migration ,and early child marriage,.womens have live with under pressure of mental due to heavy
load of work in agriciulture and animal husbandary.
Even today girls and children of marginal classes suffer with the discrimination at large scales in the govt,
school. Even the govt, employees who are at higher positions in the govt, are discriminated on the basis of
their caste. Discrimination with women is practiced at every level and at all the community places. The
people of the area suffer all these malpractices because an ill social system, parallel to the constitutional
system based on the old Hindu (Manu) ideology is followed by the people of feudalistic mindset.
Along with the violation of human rights, labor rights, migration at a very large scale, drinking water,
unemployment, fodder for cattle and poor govt, infrastructure to provide the basic facilities are the some of
the other major problems of the area.
