Configuration Deviation List Page I
General Limitations
This Configuration Deviation List (CDL) contains additional certificate limitations for operation of the Airbus
Model A-319/320 series airplane without certain secondary airframe and engine parts as listed herein. This
CDL is prepared in accordance with Appendix CDL of the FAA Approved Flight Manual (AFM). The General
Limitations of the AFM Appendix CDL are contained in the AFM Limitations section (436, 437 and 438) of the
Aircraft Restrictions Manual (ARM).
The pilot-in-command must be notified of each operation with a missing part(s) by listing the missing part(s) on
the Flight Dispatch Release (FDR).
Limitations associated with operating Airbus A-319/320 series airplanes with missing part(s) are contained in
this CDL. The CDL reference number for a missing part(s) will be listed on the FDR and a placard found in the
aircraft logbook. Refer to the applicable CDL item under Remarks or Exceptions and its associated
Performance Correction Box for limitations. Prior to dispatch, the pilot-in-command must refer to this CDL to
obtain limitations for operation with missing part(s).
Prior to releasing an aircraft for service with a missing part(s), the missing part(s) must be recorded in the
aircraft logbook and a placard installed (ref. TOPP 40-40-05 and MEL Placard Instructions table found in
A-319/320 Minimum Equipment List, MEL Instructions section).
If an additional part is lost in flight, the airplane may not depart the airport at which it landed following this
event until it again complies with the limitations of this CDL. This does not preclude the issuance of a ferry
permit to allow the airplane to be flown to a point where the necessary repairs or replacements can be made.
No more than one part for any one system (i.e. 57-xx-xx) in this CDL may be missing unless specifically
designated combinations are indicated herein. Unless otherwise specified herein, parts from different systems
may be missing. The performance decrements are cumulative.
Takeoff performance penalties are to be applied to the Runway Allowable Takeoff Weight (RATOW), and/or to
the Takeoff Climb Limit Weight (T/O CLIMB LIMIT), as required by the applicable CDL item. The CDL takeoff
performance penalties are automatically applied to the AWABS generated WDR.
The enroute performance penalties in this CDL are applied to all flights by the Flight Control Dispatcher when
analyzing the flight plan using the FPS flight planning system. The penalty is entered as an Enroute Driftdown
Penalty in FPS and applied in FPS by increasing the weight of the aircraft by the penalty amount. The flight
planning system will then access the driftdown tables at the penalized, increased weight to determine the
driftdown weight limit. One-engine inoperative performance limitations (under FAR 121.191) will be applied
where most restrictive.
Landing performance penalties are to be applied to the Runway Allowable Landing Weight (RALW), and/or to
the Landing Climb Limit Weight (LCLW), as required by the applicable CDL item. The CDL landing
performance penalties are automatically applied to the AWABS generated WDR.

6 TAKEOFF TAKEOFF
PERFORMANCE 1. Reduce RATOW by 110 lbs.
WORKSHEET 2. Reduce T/O CLIMB LIMIT by 110 lbs.
LANDING
Reduce LANDING CLIMB LIMIT WT by 110 lbs.
Shown above is a sample Performance Correction for a CDL item. The contents of the Performance
Correction box should be used in conjunction with the other limitations and procedures in the CDL for the
applicable dispatch. A quick-reference guide to the Performance Correction is provided below. It is important
to note that items appearing above the double line should be considered by all users including the flight crew
and dispatcher. Items below the double line are primarily for flight crew or LCC use. Use the appropriate box
depending on the type of Weight Data Record (WDR) generated.
NOTE: The Performance Correction shown above is provided for training purposes only and should not be
used for CDL 21-00-02. Additionally, the sample CDL item above may not reflect the most current
information.
6. TAKEOFF PERFORMANCE WORKSHEET: LCC will complete this Worksheet (including performance
corrections shown in this section) and a copy will be provided to the flight crew when dispatched with a
Manual WDR. This section contains three subsections: Takeoff, Landing, and Other Corrections. The
section titled “Other Corrections” will only appear if other corrections are to be performed.
TAKEOFF
• Runway Allowable Takeoff Weight adjustment.
• Takeoff Climb Limit Weight adjustment.
LANDING
• Runway Allowable Landing Weight adjustment.
• Approach/Landing Climb Limit Weight adjustment.
• Maximum Quick Turnaround Landing Weight adjustment.
OTHER CORRECTIONS
• V-speed adjustments.
