IMPORTANT NOTES:
 Attendance shall be counted immediately from Week 1 in every trimester. Any
absence from class, without valid reasons and evidence will be recorded and
students who failed to achieve 80% of the attendance will be barred from sitting
the final examination.
 Students are advised to attend all classes while waiting for Supplementary
Examination’s result and the result of appeal for reinstatement (if any). Should
the attendance is not satisfactory; the faculty has the right to decline the
approval of the subject registration.

REMINDER: The complete forms of the above should reach ERU Office latest by
24 Nov. Any late submission will not be entertained.
Guideline of Reinstatement:
1. Reinstatement whether granted or not shall be at the absolute discretion of the
University and among the general criteria for reinstatement:-
a) there is still sufficient duration of study available for him/her to complete
the programme;
b) s/he could still meet the requirement of 80% attendance for all subjects
taken for the trimester;
c) s/he has remitted all payments of prescribed fees including arrears, penalty
and administrative charges.

2. The application for reinstatement must be submitted to ERU Office not later
than one (1) week after the date of termination or one (1) week after the
commencement of the trimester (whichever earlier).

3. For students who appeal after the due date, if it is granted, the effective date of
the reinstatement will be in the following trimester. The current trimester will
be considered as Leave of Absence.

Online application for Credit Transfer, Leave of Absence, and Change of


Program/Faculty are open for student to apply. The Navigation is login into CaMSys
> Self Service > Service Request. Please refer the manuals at Intranet on how to
apply.
2 27 Nov -3 Dec ( ADD / DROP WEEK 2 – ONLINE)

 30 Nov: Last Date to register subject (Manual). (For Normal Student who has not
sit for Supplementary Exam)
 30 Nov: Supplementary Examination Result will be released. (TENTATIVE)
 3 Dec: Last Date to register subject (online).
 1 Dec: Public Holiday [The Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday]

3 4 Dec - 10 Dec Counseling Unit will conduct Special Academic Programme (SAP) for those students
who successful reinstatement as follow:
5 Dec – Melaka Campus
6 Dec – Cyberjaya Campus

 8 Dec : Auto Drop subject(s) due to fail pre-requisite


 8 Dec : Exceed Credit Hours Checking
 8 Dec : Last Date to register subject manually (Strictly for student who sat for
Supplementary Examination, New Students (late registration) & Student who
has Financial Problem)
 8 Dec : Re marking Application Ends (Strictly for student who sat for
SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATION only)
 8 Dec : Last day to Appeal for Reinstatement (Strictly for student who sat for

4 11 Dec -17 Dec 11 Dec – Public Holiday [Sultan Selangor’s Birthday (Cyberjaya Only)]
12 Dec : Deadline to confirm the subject need to be dropped (student who has
exceeded the max. ch). If ERU did not receive any feedback from student by this
date, the faculty will decide on the subject to be dropped.

Full-time students can take a maximum credit hours as the following:
a) New students and existing students who follow the programme structure - as
prescribed in pogramme structure

b) Students who did not follow programme structure - 20 credit hours (non engineering
programmes) & 18 credit hours (engineering programmes).

Students are allow to register subjects a minimum is 12 credit hours.

 13 Dec : Student Status Checking ( Student Status : ACTIVE – however did not
register any subject)

ERU will generate the list of students who have not registered for any subject in this
trimester but at the same time, their status is still "ACTIVE".
Should you are in this category, you are required to take action as per stated below:

a) Should you are not able to register a subject due to financial problem, medical
problem, academic problem etc - kindly consult the Counselor at STAD Office. Later
you may be required to apply for Leave of Absence. The last date to apply for Leave of
Absence for this trimester is on 31 December 2016.

b) Should you are not interested to continue your studies at MMU, you may apply for
withdrawal of studies. The withdrawal form can be obtained from Student Service
Center (SSC).

5 18 Dec - 24 Dec
 20 Dec : Student Status Confirmation ( ACTIVE BUT DID NOT REGISTER ANY
SUBJECT) – Kindly check Student Information Center (SIC)

ERU shall publish a notification letter to those affected students via Student
Information Center (SIC) Web page. Should we do not receive any feedback after 14
working days from the date of the Notification Letter, we would deem that you are not
interested to continue your studies at MMU. Hence, we will change your status from
‘Active’ to “Dismissed’.

Counseling Unit will conduct Special Academic Programme (SAP) for those students
who successful reinstatement as follow:
19 Dec – Melaka Campus
20 Dec – Cyberjaya Campus

Academic Assessment System (AAS) begin. Students are required to proceed with online
self-assessment and later meet the Advisor to complete the assessment evaluation. Once
complete the AAS, students are eligible to proceed with Pre-SR in week 12.

6 25 Dec - 31 Dec
EXAM SCHEDULE PROCESS BEGINS

 7 Jan : CLOSED of Leave of Absence Application
 7 Jan : CLOSED of Subject Withdrawal Application
Guidelines on Leave of Absence:
1) Leave of absence may be requested only for national services, serious
illnesses, financial problems, or compassionate reasons. Application for
Leave of Absence must be supported by official documents.
2) A student who is on Leave of Absence will still be charged Resource Fees.
3) Despite being granted LOA (leave of absence),
a student shall sit for Supplementary Examination when the subject is
offered by faculties/centers. Failing which the “I” status will be converted
to “F”.
4) Except for National Service, Student Exchange Programme, Medical reasons
and other approved reasons by Senate, the period of the student’s leave or
‘away from the university’ shall be counted as part of the student’s
candidature period.
5) A student who fails to register for any subject after the end of the leave of
absence period shall have his status changed to ‘Dismissed’.
6) Students should discuss with their academic advisors prior to Leave of
absence. International students must report to International Office before
applying for Leave of Absence.

8 8 Jan - 14 Jan
END OF SUBJECT WITHDRAWAL PERIOD AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE. NO WITHDRAWAL
OF SUBJECT AND LEAVE OF ABSENCE ARE ALLOWED STARTING THIS WEEK.

 10 Jan : Draft schedule of Trimester 2 2016/2017 Final Examination


 12 Jan : Student Status changed to “Dismissed” (those who did not give any
feedback)

9 15 Jan - 21 Jan
16 Jan : Last date to give feedback on the Final Examination Draft schedule

10 22 Jan - 28 Jan
 23 Jan : CONFIRMED FINAL Examination Schedule For Trimester 2 2017/2018 –
NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS ANNOUNCEMENT

Teaching Evaluation exercises (TE) begin. Students are required to complete TE before
proceed with Pre Course Enrollment.

11 29 Jan - 4 Feb
 29 Jan – Generate percentage class attendance for Pre Barring.
 31 Jan Public Holiday [Thaipusam – Cyberjaya and Johor only]
 31 Jan : Release Pre SR schedule for Trimester 3 2017/2018

GRADE FOR ANY OF YOUR SUBJECTS – You have been granted Supplementary
Examination. Please prepare for the Supplementary Examination.

Please take note of the following:


a. Inactive student (Terminated due to academic performance) will not be able to log in into CaMSys. If
you are not been barred by Finance you may refer to ERU for your result.

b. For students who appeal after the due date and appeal after supplementary exam, if it is granted,
the effective date of the reinstatement will be in the following trimester (Trimester 3, 2017/2018).
The current trimester (Trimester 2, 2017/2018) will be considered as Leave of Absence.

c. Completion of Studies. To all final trimester students for Foundation, Diploma, and Degree
programme, you are required to apply for completion of studies starting from week 2 (27th Nov 2017
– 31st Jan 2018). Kindly refer to the following navigation for the process.

d. Foundation and diploma students who would like to continue to degree programme are required to
apply for “Foundation to Degree” / “Diploma to Degree”. Further an announcement will be posted
by your faculty.
