Review of Systems

I. Self-Perception/Self-Concept Pattern
-Our client describes himself as a friendly, caring son and friend to his
family and friends. He said that he’s quite contented for what he is right
now even if he’s still young. He feels happy being with his mother, but
sometimes he’s quite sad of his mother is away or gets mad at him.

Analysis:
Callista Roy’s theory which is the adaptation model may be related to our
client’s feeling and perception towards himself. The theory states that individuals
are biophysical adaptive system that employs a feedback cycle of stimuli, control,
behavior or adaptive responses.

II. Role and Relationship Pattern

-His parents are mainly his support system because he’s still very young.
They serve as his guide for his growing-up years. They also are the ones who
make him happy. His father is the one who decides for the family. Their house
and also their community is peaceful and has no problems with their neighbors.
The barangay hall is very accessible from where our client resides.

Analysis:
This is another of Roy’s model of adaptation, since one of the models of
individual’s perception response to a need states that the role action model is
determined of duties based on given position within the society. When he is sick,
it becomes a hindrance for him to meet this stimulus, so it may affect the
interaction of her personal development, as well as his health and well being.

III. Sexuality and Reproductive Pattern

Our client is still a minority so this pattern is not yet applicable to him.

IV. Cognitive Perceptual Pattern

Our client is still young so young so the only problem possible is when he
gets sick, his mother is the one taking care of him.

Analysis:
One of the 14 fundamental needs of man proposed by Henderson, was to
communicate with others in expressing emotions, needs and fear. When sick, it
prevents him from doing so, thus the mother should take care of him and provide
his needs.

V. Coping Stress Tolerance Pattern

VI. Value and Belief Pattern

Our client is currently contented to the fact that he has his parents to guide
him. His dreaming to be an actor someday in his future life. He’s a Roman
Catholic.

Analysis:
Parse’s becoming theory, a person is a synergistic open being coexists
with the universe can come from options, beliefs, and being responsible for his
actions and choices.
