 Consultation with supervisor on key words and phrases to help library search. Look
at
the Assignment 2 documentation – and start to fill in key words and phrases – print
and bring to weekend workshop with RMIT academic
 Discussion on progressing the research (dependant on topic) – ie what has to be
done? Testwork? Analysis? Development? Survey? Etc

 Advice on Assignment 1 – Initial Project Plan
 Advice on Assignment 2 - library search task
 Discussion on progressing the research (dependant on topic) – ie what has to be
done? Testwork? Analysis? Development? Survey? Etc

 Final advice on Assignment 1 – Initial Project Plan

 Discussion on progressing the research (dependant on topic) – ie what has to be

to achieve results.
 Discuss various headings for the literature review (Depends on project – ie method,
theory, experimental approach, history, need for research, etc etc…)
 Discuss the need in the literature review to ”identify the research gap”
Week 5 Work with supervisor
 Student brings 5 most relevant papers to meeting
 Discuss the most relevant papers – the student should explain why the papers are
important
 Discuss progress on actual research (dependant on topic) – ie what has to be done
to
achieve results? When will results be available

Late submissions will receive a 5% penalty


Assignment 3 – Literature Review MUST be submitted via Turnitin and MUST have less than 20% similarity and have less than 5% similarity for individual
papers or it will not receive a mark. Note the assignment can be submitted multiple times before the deadline to check. The IT system limits it to one
submission a day so don’t check the day you want to submit!
