Nandita Das presents a very amazing situation in a highly thought
provoking way in her poem “Newton’s Law”.The poet is inattentive in the class.Its
a science class.The teacher calls her to explain the Newton’s law of gravity and
mass.Her minds becames blank and her heartbeats lounder.For an answer,the girl
tries hard.

(ii) generates imagination and Creativity

(iii) infers the mood and feelings of the poet.

(iv) develops the skill of speaking and Writing.

anthology by the poet’s Internalnational
Organisation in 1991.The poem
‘Newton’s Law’ is taken from her
collection of poem’s ‘Colours of Delight’.
