• Several countries are already actively planning
spectrum allocations of specific spectrum for 5G uses.

allocations • Australia has stated that it sees the 3600 MHz band
© GSA 2018 being the most likely candidate for 5G services and
plans an auction for it in 2018. It auctioned spectrum in
the 3400 MHz band on a technology neutral basis.
• The US completed an auction of 600 MHz spectrum in
2017 and is considering a consultation on the use of
5925–7125 MHz spectrum.
• Other countries are also planning 2018 for 5G band
allocations.
