 INTRODUCTION

Touch sensitive siren is a simple electronic project

which is very much useful for many applications such

as touch sensitive door bell, soil moisture alarming,

rain alarm, intruder alarm etc. By just placing on the

hand on the touch sensitive plates or pressing switch,

the circuit will immediately sound a siren in varying

pitch which will immediately draw the attention of

people to take instant action. In this project resistors,

capacitors, transistor, potentiometer, speaker, switch,

DC power supply and one PCB board has been used.

Any student and electronic aspirants can make and

experiment it easily.

 WORKING

In normal conditions, no current flows through

transistors and the potential across the capacitors is

almost 0v. If the two touch plates are touched

together by a finger in this project , the siren is

enabled and it will reset after a few minutes .

100micro farad capacitor will help the siren to beep

around 2 minutes .This time period can be further

increased to 5 minutes by increasing the capacitance

value from 100 to 200 micro farad .As the trigger

transistor is fitted on touch plate , wire between siren

and touch plate can be extended to long distances

according to aplication. Trasistors Q2 and Q3 here

forms a complimaentary pair amplifier, with positive

feedback given to the base of transistor Q3 via R3 and

C2. Power supply required is about 9V Dc .transistor

Q4 Acts as trigger transistor when either push switch

or touch plate is touch fingers.

This project is an ultra –simple hobby circuits . The

siren here will provide a quite loud audio output into

the speaker. Also, we can easily experiment this

project with different components values to make our

own special alarm.PCB board and soldering quality

must be ensured to be of good quality . The speaker

and transistor connections must be given properly to

avoid damages.

 APPLICATIONS

1. Can be used as an intruder alarm at the door

handle.

2. Good to use for protecting the cash boxes and other

valuable proprties.

3. Touch sensitive siren can act as a rain alarm.

4. Touch sensitive siren can act as a soil mositure alarm
etc.

5. Touch sensitive siren is good to good to solve many of

the issues related to robbery and damages taking place

within the world.
